More like The For Carnation's "Moonbeams"?

Discussion!

Hey, ya'll!

Looking for recommendations of albums similar to the slowcoresque, moody and spacious vibe of Moonbeams by The For Carnation.

I initially overlooked this album (as other Slint offshoots didn't really do anything for me) but it's just amazing, I love its calm, minimalistic & nocturnal atmosphere.

Other albums with a similar vibe which I've enjoyed are: Labradford - Mi Media Naranja Tarentel - From Bone to Satellite

Thanks in advance for any recs!

Three excellent choices. Struggling to think off the top of my head of similar albums but Steel Wound by Ben Frost definitely has the nocturnal element

Calla -Custom Car Crash This song came to mind and rest of the album is good.

Bowery Electric, The Black Heart Procession as well.

Forgive me if this is too obvious of a suggestion but: Bark Psychosis.

I know it's not post rock but Moonbeams gives me some early Sparklehorse vibes. Really digging this listen, thank you for posting!

bohren and der club of gore

earth will slow it down and float like that

doomjazz in general lingers a little too long on notes

might be into some of the ambient country stuff like suss
