Still touring:

And they’ve still got it. Seen them twice in Toronto since moving to Canada and Mike Reno still goes hard for the full set.
Absolutely worth seeing them if you like their stuff!
First concert I ever went to was 1985 Loverboy's Loving every Minute of It tour. The Hooters ("Day by Day") opened for them. Tickets were, I think, $8 each in WV.
I saw them again in the late 1990's in Huntington WV playing at a Ribfest by the Ohio river. Big difference in venues for sure.
The guitar intro was my go-to walk up music when I was giving a presentation.
can anyone listen to this and not picture the chase scene in Wet Hot American Summer?

I sweat profusely when I work outside, so I wear a thick headband to keep the sweat out of my eyes. Everytime I put one on, my wife sarcastically says, "OK, Mike Renohhhh."
Loverboy has the raddest sonic vibes. Always loved this song.
Great early Loverboy track! Their first two albums are phenomenal, especially “Get Lucky”. 🍀 (Their third album is decent too, but you could begin to hear that their prime was slipping away.) They did embrace early 80s fashion quite hard! 😄 Good thing clothing improved over time… Good song - thanks for posting it! 👍
Had it stuck in my head without even listening to it recently. Used to listen to this with my Dad all the time.
Turn me loose and working for the weekend have the same intro
I heard once that the original singer had voice trouble and left the band (or was fired, I don’t recall.). He was the singer on the Budweiser Real Men Of Genius ads after that. Do any of you know if this is true? Or is my brain clogged up with malted hops and bong resin?
Wrong band.
I saw it was actually Survivor, and thought they were Canadian as well. Got some learnin’ to do. My favorite pastime
I love how passionately he sings about wanting to fuck other people while in a relationship.
I've always wondered about the lyric "now I'm here to please I'm even on my knees making love to whoever I please" because pleasing a WOMAN isn't necessarily any better for her if he is on his knees. Did anyone else have a strange reaction to that lyric in the 80's or was it just me?!?
Yea, it’s “whomever”. Reno got it wrong.
I took those lyrics to be unrelated in the sense of the final action:
I'm here to please (generically)
I'm even on my knees (to beg you)
Making love to whoever I please...(unrelated to the previous lyric)
