If you need to take a break or go for a dump during a mix then this this is the tune to stick on :) 20mins long! It was absolutely rinsed back in the day but to me sounds a bit dated now.... referencing Alpha Wave (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) BFLT25
Of course, the Hawtin mix is the cream of the crop on this release, but the Alph and That Sound mixes are super high quality and dope in their own rights. Excellent release all around- Edited 3 years ago

5 euros for an Anthem what a shame, but too many copy were out too referencing Alpha Wave (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) BFLT25
This is why we all loved Richie Hawtin back in the good old days. What happened?referencing Alpha Wave (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) BFLT25

Having read the reviews here that bought the 12 I have to say I was just a little bit dissapointed. There is lots of talk of a great Plasticman remix which I relished the thought of (actually one of the less positive reviews does touch on this) but I believe what you get is actually much more F.U.S.E. in charachter. There are none of those elastic high pitched 303 sounds twisting and writhing over one another al la Plasticman. Very early Plasicman, possibly (as mentioned). A very good F.U.S.E. mix non the less but just don't be expecting those subtly acidic whines over the kind of skipping drums found only in 'Spastik'...no, they're not there. A hyped, elongated 'do da do' remix you might find though. And a very good one at that... referencing Alpha Wave (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) BFLT25
Masterpiece... Would you play the full 20 min track in a deejay set?referencing Alpha Wave (CD, Single) BFLD25
Plastikman's (AKA Richie Hawtin) remix of "Alpha Wave" is just fabulous! It has tweaking & mind funking sounds and stabs travelling from one stop to the next, with exceptional arrangement, perfect timing, keeping the listener at the edge of the seat, waiting for that aceeeeeid explosion to take off! And when it does, you're already far, far, far away from your seat.
As for the rest, not that it is not worthy of a mention, but after mr. Hawtin opens up with a 17 minute classic, what could possibly compare? Get it. A group as legendary as System7 getting remixed by the living legend himslelf is not to be missed!- Edited 17 years ago

I had the fortune to see Hawtin join System 7 live for this number, on a magical Sunday afternoon at Glastonbury '95.
He'd just played a Plastikman set, messing everyone up with his teasing cuts and dropped beats. This wiped out any survivors.
Hilliage and Girauldy were jamming over the top.
Monstrous. [sigh].
