A great Amish market where you can buy meat, produce, cheese, baked goods and a whole lot more. I love the pretzel logs and baked goods. Everything is fresh and delicious. There is even a little restaurant inside.

Parking is a nightmare, so relax and wait it out, or bring a buddy to hang out while you shop. I always go counterclockwise, starting at the pickle tasting (have to buy many they are super tasty & fresh),then the cheese tastes (almost every variety, some new), cross the aisle for great noodle salad; I by-pass the meats but head for the vegetables (pricey but delicious, like kohlrabi, beets, corn in season, yum); by-pass the candy, although hubby wants licorice, then to the chicken area (the chickens are super fresh, super affordable & fantastic), pot pies & soup are delicious; then to the fried chicken: bourbon - fantastic; potato wedges, yum, all chicken is SUPER fresh, large, very cheap for the quality, moist, flavorful, not greasy; then the final coup de grace, baked goods. If I said that you could probably find most of the pies that you might dream about in this small area, I would not be exaggerating. Also, pies with crusts that are flaky, tender and FRESH. Faves: blueberry, lemon meringue, coconut custard, apple crumble, heck, they're all great. Then the breads, pound cakes, cookies, whoopie pies (home made, and they'll make a special order (I got chocolate pies with chocolate filling for my son). Then turning the corner, the refrigerated meringue, cream, custard pies, heaped high with whipped cream or meringue, usually a special or two and finally, the DONUTS. Hubby's favorite: freshly made, yeast, cake or eggy, super filled with fruit or custard or cream, huge huge donuts.

This is a grocery, with a restaurant, with fried chicken, with fresh veggies, meats of all kinds, hand churned butter, pickles with punch, freshly made hot dog and other roll ups

Great Pennsylvania Dutch experience in Maryland.

We went today to check it out and grab something for lunch. We picked up cheddar bread which was delicious, some honey roasted nuts, cookies.... all were wonderful. We wanted to get something for lunch. There was a long line and not a lot of seating in the restaurant area so we went to the pretzel place to grab something that we could easily eat in the car. The pretzel logs are awesome.... especially the chicken bacon ranch one! The only cons were difficulty finding a parking spot and limited restaurant seating. We will definitely return.

We've been getting items from the Dutch market for many years, but this was actually my first visit in person. Also, I understand from my in laws that it has moved to larger facility. We got up early to go get items for the Easter weekend activities and actually arrived early so getting a parking place was no problem. Watching the employees via the storefront windows was interesting. However, about 15 mins before the market opened the people started pouring in and in short order the que was around the corner in both directions! As soon as the doors opened it was like Walmart on Black Friday! People were literally running to their targeted area! The market is organized similar to a large grocery store with various counters, extensive meats, vegetables, bakery etc. It was amazing to watch the patrons stream to their destination. I was hungry particularly after watching the staff eat in the windows. So I headed for the take out window for coffee and a sausage biscuit, which they couldn't accept that I wanted a sausage patty in a biscuit and not a biscuit smothered in gravy... But the real point is while I was there my wife went to the pretzel bakery and met me with bacon, Cheese baked in Pretzel bread. OUT OF THIS WORLD! There are too many stories of this short visit to write them all in a reasonable review. Suffice it to say this was an experience both visually, and tastefully that shouldn't be missed if you have an opportunity to visit. Final note Parking lot is a huge pain. Choose your visit time wisely.

I have been a patron of the Dutch Farmer's market since it was located in Burtonsville. I preferred that location due to the larger parking lot but the new location just really exercises all of the senses. The aroma of the baked foods hits you at the door and they offer many things from cheesecake to rice cakes to cheese and different spreads to sample. Our family favorites are the carrot cake, fruit pies, breads, Italian sausage dogs with onions and peppers and the fresh fruit of your choice smoothies ...delicious! Besides the hot foods and restaurant they have fresh fruit, veggies and meats sold open market style. If you're a chocolate/candy lover there's a station just for that which includes fudge and even candy apples. If you're a natural/organic health food lover, you're covered. You can't walk out without buying something and they even take orders for catering. The downside is they're only open Thurs-Sat. I take all of my visiting family here and highly recommend it.

I visit this Amish market which is a few miles away from my home mainly for fresh produce. Nice fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. They have a good meat market too as well as a bakery, cheese shop, candy shop etc. One stall offers very good BBQ chicken, ham and ribs. You can also eat at a few locations within the market.

Spacious building...but the parking lot is extremely small. While they have lot attendant directing the traffic...Saturday morning is hectic. Thursday and Friday a great place grab some lunch. The bathrooms are kept clean and the establishment is maintained. A very large variety of foods and deserts.

I love the fact that I can get my vegetables, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and even breakfast or lunch in this one place. I am gluten free and they have a good variety of desserts and breads for me. They offer several types of breakfast meats (sausages, bacon, etc). I have to watch my spending, because I want everything I see. Most of all it’s a very pleasant experience, everyone is so friendly and easy to work with.

This place has quite a selection of different foods available: great baked goods, meats, and prepared foods; vegetables were not Also has an on-site restaurant, Lantz's Café, with hugely-sized portions; I had a chicken salad club that was enormous (and quite flavorful), served with a side of freshly-fried onion rings and brewed iced tea. Being operated by a religious community, there is no alcohol served or sold.

As this operation is open ONLY Thursday through Saturday (with limited hours), be prepared for a substantial wait time for parking as the demand exceeds the number of spaces.

There is so much to see & buy. Some of favorites: chocolate-covered bacon (for my husband), smoked turkey wings, fried wedge potatoes, jams & jellies, baked goods (at the entrance to the store on the left). The coffee cakes are especially yummy & come in a pretty big rectangle of goodness for less than $3. There are tables available, as well as other seating in a restaurant area. There is parking, but sometimes it takes awhile to get a spot. Open Thurs. thru Sat.
