Cherokee High School Reviews
Rating 4.03 out of 5 408 reviews
Overall, Cherokee is a huge school with a lot of opportunities for students. There are so many classes that I find interesting, making it difficult to pick only 8 a year. Additionally, there are so many great clubs available that I also had the same problem narrowing, leaving me to join 13! Most teachers are helpful and open to extra help, and I have learned a lot in my core classes. The sports are open to all to tryout and have any option you could want, even esports! In conclusion, Cherokee is a great place to be for a well-rounded high school experience; you just have to make sure you get yourself involved.
Terrible school, prominent bullying with no repercussions mostly due to the administration, inedible lunches, everything has a fee here.
Cherokee is a strong school with a high focus on academics. The teachers are excellent, and the academic teaching prepares students for their continued education or work after high school. In addition to being rigorous academically, Cherokee builds a strong sense of community within its school. There are multiple extracurricular activities to be involved in, such as sports, DECA, national honors society, and student council. The opportunity to be highly involved in the school community outside of academics is important in building personal and work skills. Cherokee encourages personal relationships and a sense of community that makes this school unique. I initially didn't get involved in the extracurriculars, but one I did I realized the benefit. One change I would like to see with Cherokee would be earlier education regarding the benefit of extracurriculars such as the National Honor Society, for students who plan to continue their education after high school.
