Humble Pie starts and ends with this compilation. It has every song you need!
Published
In need of a Humble Pie primer? Then check out the smokin' _Hot 'n' Nasty: The Anthology_, double-CD set that features an extensive retrospective of the legendary English blues-based rock group that was fronted by Steve Marriott. If you're short of ca$h and can't afford the lavish twin-disc _Hot 'N' Nasty..._ compilation, then do yourself a favor and score a copy of _Classics Volume 14_. The thirteen song collection bleeds bluesy-hard rock from start-to-close.

While Humble Pie remained mired in the shadows of such legends as the mighty Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones during their formative years together (1969-1975), H.P. was more than a second division rock group. Headed by former Small Faces member Steve Marriott, along with Peter Frampton, during the group's early years the Pie held their own with several hot recordings. When Frampton opted to pursue a solo career Marriott held H.P. together, as the group continued to thrive with their spirited soulful hard rockin' blues.

The _Classics Volume 14_ anthology includes a hot selection of Pie cuts for the novice. The disc kicks in with a 1972 cover of "C'mon Everybody", followed by the raging "Stone Cold Fever" and the southern fried "Black Coffee". Other hot tracks from this package includes the proud "Natural Born Woman", a remake of the Stones' "Honky Tonk Woman", the no-nonse blast of "Get Down to It", the scorching "Hot 'N" Nasty", plus the group's big-time signature songs, "30 Days In The Hole" and "I Don't Need No Doctor". Classic!
