Yuvraj Singh, Hazel Keech welcome baby girl; a timeline of their relationship

The couple had shared the news of their first baby, Orion Keech Singh, on Father’s Day last year. “Welcome to the world Orion Keech Singh. Mummy and daddy love their little ‘puttar’. Your eyes twinkle with every smile just as your name is written amongst the stars. #HappyFathersDay,” they captioned the post.

Yuvraj and Hazel first met in 2011 at a friend’s birthday party and the latter’s smile caught the cricketer’s attention. “As it happens, she wasn’t smiling at me. But I did catch her attention later that evening; I even complimented her work in the film Bodyguard,” Yuvraj said in an earlier interview.

However, the road to wooing Hazel wasn’t really easy for him as Yuvraj admitted to having been ignored by her when he asked her out for coffee seven to eight times. “I have been shot down earlier but to be refused so many times was something else – she left me bewildered. I guessed she was dating someone else and decided to move on.”

But as fate would have it, the duo connected again, three years later. This time, on Facebook! “In 2014, I saw her on my friend Angad Bedi’s Facebook friend list. Surprised that she had become friends with him after just a brief introduction, I told Angad to stay away from her because I liked her. I then sent her a request but she accepted it only after three months. We became friends after knowing each other for three years and three months, and I told her that I had earned a date with her after all these years. This time, she agreed,” Yuvraj shared earlier.

That’s how Yuvraj and Hazel’s beautiful love story unfolded and the rest is, as we say, history. The couple got engaged in Bali in 2015 and finally tied the knot in November 2016.
