Sunidhi Chauhan, who has a long list of hit songs to her name, is all set to make her acting debut in an urban fantasy thriller short, Playing Priya.

After mesmerising everyone with her soulful voice, Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has now decided to face the camera. The talented singer, who has a long list of hit songs to her name, is all set to make her acting debut in an urban fantasy thriller short, Playing Priya.

An excited Sunidhi, who always wanted to act, shared the trailer of the short film Playing Priya on Twitter. The 41-second trailer shows Sunidhi as an everyday woman, who is home alone and is seen enjoying her own space, dancing around and preening in the mirror. But soon her happiness turns into fear when someone gives an unwanted knock on her door and tries to enter her house. The short, which comes with a tag line ‘Your home is not the safest place’, leaves an element of suspense of what will happen next.

As a first timer, Sunidhi plays her part really well and is spot on while enacting the feeling of being scared, petrified and alarmed with conviction on the camera.

Playing Priya is directed by Arif Ali, whose previous release was Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. This short is also a first for the writer-director. The film is being backed by digital content studio, Humaramovie.
