Abraham Lincoln Senior High School Reviews

As a junior at this school I can definitely say that Lincoln truly cares about their students and college readiness. Since they push students to thrive while making it fun. The best part about their magnet programs are the events held by each magnet. They over ice skating, prizes, games and dances that unite students to have fun while also focusing on their education. It’s a memorable experience! Lincoln also offers a few duel enrollment classes every semester and during the summer FOR FREE. I have taken 5 so far and I really enjoyed it! The professors are really understanding of their students. However, I do feel like there can be slight changes in the restroom. I’ve seen wet paper towels on the floor, and broken sinks with scratched mirrors. I would appreciate if the school focused on hygiene care in the restrooms because it can be a bit disturbing sight. Adding trash cans and new mirror can seem like a small change, but will make a huge change in its user’s experience.
My overall experience was pretty good. But of course there are bad parts as well. To start off, the bad parts I was struggling with depression and was just a suicidal person. There was so much drama, toxicity, and I just hated how I was of all honesty. I have done sports in highscool but it just made me feel worse. Although, not all are bad. I met some pretty great teachers and staff. A specific counselor who was new definitely helped me alot through my senior years. I will always appreciate her . I found something that got me interested like stage design. It brought back a spark in me for a bit since I was lost of what I wanted to do when I quit sports. I also made some new good/real friends that I'm still friends with till this day. I deeply appreciate them for not giving up on me when I was struggling with depression back in highschool. I definitely would want to see the change of myself and growth which i do see it now as I write this.
I have met some amazing friends here, and I’m always grateful for the diversity seen here. Academics at Lincoln is definitely a big pro as a wide variety of AP courses are available.
