A local business, run by locals - support a top notch business!

Have been purchasing fish at Tony's for some time now. Sometimes it can get real busy and the staff have to hustle (they're not being rude!) Since they have a GREAT local reputation, and provide fish to a variety of local markets and restaurants, there are times when a product I want isn't available. OK-I can make another selection. The owner strives to carry only the best fish. Fish is an expensive protein. The owner is not gouging you. Most fish at "large markets" is very often first frozen and then thawed in front of you. No thanks. The frozen products carried at Tony's (shrimp, crab legs, etc) survive well but their large front case is all fresh. Once you buy on a regular basis (I'm talking consistently each month or season) they get to know your preferences (and your face). How nice it is to know they care about you and can help you make a great selection. If you're planning a special dinner be sure to call well in advance to be sure they'll have what you'll need. Respect their effort and care and you'll always be happy when you buy at Tony & Sons.

Got 2 takeout fried clam strips an shrimp in basket over Tony fries, 4 large tailless shrimp and most tender clam strips. Def get again. Reasonable and generous sizes

Great stuff, but pricey

Tony's is a great place to get fresh seafood. If you want something they don't have, they'll get it for you. The prices, however, are a bit high, so be ready to pay. The staff behind the counter could try a bit more personality.

These guys think they better than they are. And they act it. True the food is good. But it’s also expensive. Coupled with their lack of customer service skills I will stay away. And so should you.

The best source for seafood

This is the cleanest seafood outlet I've seen. Great friendly service and most importantly excellent fresh seafood. I go there for fish to cook at home, not to dine.

Although I believe some of the prices are a bit high, Tony's offers quality seafood and prepped dinners. Extremely busy during holidays so you need to order ahead of time to ensure you get your seafood.

We've been buying our seafood weekly from Tony's for over 2 decades. They're very good and consistent in getting fresh well-priced goods. Try their home-cooked shrimp.

The only seafood I buy in CT

I am a big fan of seafood, and this is the only place for me when cooking seafood at home. I love the fact I can depend on Tony's for the freshest products with a knowledgeable staff. Writing the review reminds me that I'm due to go and shop again.

Love the location, customer service is wonderful!! Food was amazing had the catfish it was breaded different instead of corn meal. Suggest using cornmeal my opinion. Clams delicious, breaded jumbo shrimp awesome!! Clam chowder yummie!!!!Wanted another round they close at 3:00pm. I will return again if in the area stop and try the food!!
