- Edited 5 months agoWow. Just wow. Exceeds all expectations. Hope real gone keeps pumping all these out
- Sweet press. You can really tell the source is the analog tapes. Each instrument speaks well with a strong soundstage. Especially Phil and Billy. Don’t sleep on this!
- Edited 7 months agoPretty sure Jerry goes into a "Fever" (Elvis Presley) tease during the Truckin' solo. Anyone hear it? The He's Gone>Truckin' is sublime.
- So I'm guessing that the added Phil Lesh solo occurs at the beginning of Side G, is this correct? Anyone else noticing a couple static bursts during this passage? Is this just a part of the Caveat Emptor and I should pay it no mind? Or am I alone in experiencing this? Either way, I can understand them cutting it from previous releases. I'm all for completion but Volume 1 isn't a complete show to begin with so I could live without it.
- AMAZING! Wore the cd set out in the mid 90’s so to have this now on Vinyl is appreciated. Flat, clean, well packaged. Only minor complaint, the box is a finger print magnet. #1857
- Edited 9 months agoJust got mine from the remaining batch - Amazon - (1,896 of 3,000). Sounds fantastic as everyone has shared. Clean. Flat. Gimme DP 2-12 on vinyl 🙏
Personally, I like the typo. Uniqueness - Edited 11 months agoFor posterity: Real Gone offered this at $100 for the first thousand copies which sold out in a couple hours, the remaining reserved for retail at $150.
- Another excellent release from Real Gone Records! Their Dicks Picks always sound great, mastering and pressing also incredible. Awesome show, well worthy to be the first the series.
