Gluten free options?
A:
They can make the burgers lettuce wrapped to make it GF. They also have salads. Fries also don't have that coating on it so it's ok for wheat sensitivity. My son has a wheat allergy and he loves the burgers and fries!

Are they open? I've tried calling to make a takeout order around 8pm on a Friday night and it keeps going straight to voicemail.

These stars are for the lechon fries. I don't see many places w the ramen bun so I customized one. I'm a pickle lover, but also selectively pickle about my dills.
Sooo the burger improved the next day when I found out the pickles were the culprit. So I did a beef patty w bacon, tomato, lettuce, house garlic cheese and garlic aioli. It was impressively thick, but even wo pickles something was still lacking.
But I I really came here to tell y'all, DO NOT SLEEP on the lechon fries. Everything about them was perfection. Crispiness, flavor, spice levels. It all just worked so well. The fries were def battered w something.
I'd come back for the fries. The menu was pretty cool, def check it out. - Jason P.West Covina, CA2672823135/24/2021
Came here on a Friday night before 6:30pm with my cousin. We were craving burgers and both wanted to try something new for the first time, and close to home. You can park in the structure across the street if the immediate parking is full. Outside adjusted to the pandemic as there are several spaced and distanced tables. Umbrellas were a plus. It was pretty hot that day so we decided to dine in. At the time of our visit (mid-April) the inside could comfortably fit up to 10 groups (2-4 people per group).
The menu has a wide variety of choices. We didn't want to over-stuff ourselves so my cousin and I ordered 2 burgers and pizza fries; cut each burger in half. The Mac and Cheese Burger wasn't as cheesy as I thought it'd be although the texture was nice. Unique to have it on a burger. We ordered that because it's not your typical type of cheese to put on your burger. It was okay overall, personally would not have it again.
The Western Burger was definitely the better of the two. Reminded me of a good ol' Western Bacon from Carl's Jr, but much better. The onion rings and bbq sauce along with the beef patty is something you can never go wrong with. Left me wanting more.
What's a burger without having some fries to go along with it? How about pizza fries? To me, their pizza fries were the best part of the meal. I've had other pizza fries/tots from other locations and Bun Street takes the cake for me. Portion size is larger than other places, and having the pepperoni and the ooey gooey cheese stretch as you pull your fries up from the plate really gives that pizza feel. And of course, the taste. *Italian accent* Compliments to the chef!*
Good place to eat, kick back, watch the Dodgers beat the Padres, and have a beer. There's a decent selection of beer on the menu that I regret not partaking in this time. I'll be back.

New to the area, we looked on yelp for a place to try for dinner. Found Bun street. Loved the burgers. Juicy and flavorful. Held together nicely. Can't wait to come back to try other burgers

Good burgers, appetizers, and beer! Moderately priced, cool place to go, service is always fine.

When I first tried this place I really enjoyed it! I got a custom burger, mac and cheese, and the duck confit poutine fries. Although the fries were a bit salty, everything else was perfect.
The second time was a disaster. Granted, this was a take out order so I have to take that to account but I was really disappointed with the quality. I ordered a PBJ burger, tenders, sweet potatoe fries, and a berry lemonade. I specifically ordered the burger medium because I knew pb would make it dry. I just didn't expect the patty to be so dry. The patty some how was overcooked on the outside but still medium well in the inside. The flavors were great but the textured ruined it for me.
Tenders were abysmal. They were essentially elongated chicken nuggets. They looked like elongated breaded nuggets. Really dry as well. I had a side of sweet potato fries with them. They were the worst out of everything. They were not cooked enough so they felt like boiled fries. Every worse, they were really soggy and actually cold. It felt awful too eat.
Lastly was the berry lemonade. It was disappointing on the lack of lemonade flavor or berry flavor. It just tasted acidic and sweet, nothing else.
I really want to like this place again do I'm still going to order from here but I'm really hesitant on certain items. I just hope my 3rd experience is an improvement. - Amelia L.Anaheim, CA40741136/29/2021
Amazing food. So filling too. Generous portions. Comfy eating.
Poutine tots, really good! I love tots so I had to get this. I should have gotten the lechon meat inseam but it was still amazing.
Lechon fries! My fav! You must try. The lechon was cooked perfectly, tender, not chewy, flavorful and just so good. I will definitely be back for this
Pastrami burger , my boyfriend ate it and said the pastrami was great but after eating the lechon meat he would much rather have a lechon burger haha
Get lechon. Get a beer. Drink water. Have a great time. Simple and easy as that. Food was amazing thank you! - Tammy Y.Chino Hills, CA12915112/11/2021

I came here for happy hour on a weekday evening. I believe happy hour is from 3 pm - 6pm on weekdays; not sure about the weekend. For the amount of food, the price was decent.
Seating
A portion of the parking lot is blocked off for outdoor seating. Please note that they do have outdoor seating with tables and umbrellas. However, they do not have outdoor dining. Meaning, you have order food to go and you may choose to eat outside in this area or take it to go.
Happy Hour Drinks
We got a Mango Cart and a Golden Ale for happy hour drinks. They were chilled and great on a warm day. Their happy hour drinks range from $3-$7.
Happy Hour Food
We got onion rings, sliders with fries, potstickers, mac and cheese, and chicken lollipops from the happy hour menu. The food, of course, was hearty and filling.
The sliders with fries is a meal on its own. If you're going here for an early dinner, you can totally get the sliders with fries and a happy hour drink for about you $10. I think that's a steal. Not the best sliders and fries I've had, but it takes care of the hunger or cravings.
The onion rings were unnecessarily too oily. I was looking forward to them after seeing pictures online. They're the biggest onion rings I've ever had. With that, also means an excessive amount of batter. Not the best, IMO.
The mac and cheese were not the best in taste. The cheese was probably not fresh cheese, more like a powder thing that come in a box, with a sprinkle of cheese-cheese on top. However, the portion is decent and if you're a mac and cheese fiend like me, you just might gobble it all down!
The potstickers don't taste authentic. But, let's be real, I didn't care. I ate them, because they were good for potstickers at a burger joint.
The chicken wings lollipops come with side sauces. I thought the wings would already be dipped in the sauce, but they actually come plain with dipping sauces on the side. I think they normally come with one sauce, but since I couldn't decide, the kind worker gave me two sauces: BBQ and buffalo.
Service
The service was friendly. The worker at the register was kind and thorough in his service. - Mike M.CA, CA033/28/2022
Friendly servers and order takers!
Enjoyed their custom burgers.
Place is very small however. - Priscilla G.Covina, CA0627/14/2022
We've been coming to Bun Street for many years now (I wanna say since it first opened), but I barely decided to start yelping this year and wanna def give credit where credit is due! My son and I have our regular go-to, the Mac & Cheese Burger with parm fries...super huge and super tasty burgers on freshly toasted brioche buns, and freshest fries in town! I have tried several of their gourmet burgers including the Cali, Diablo, Stinkin Bun & the limited-time mozzarella/pizza/marinara (which I soooo wish they would bring back) but we always come back for the Mac & Cheese. We probably eat here way too often and I have prob brought every one of my friends so they can see what in the hamburgeezy I'm talkin about! lol They always agree and I always see them going on their own now. Now I'm hungry again, and will prob be there for dinner lol See you guys soon!
