What do you think?

Hello! I just played your game. I think that the graphics are amazing, and the platforming is really well planned out.
With that being said, I do want to tell you of some things I found problems with. First, I got into a glitch that later evolved to a game crashing glitch. In the level with the tree, I fell below the level and the game continued, even through I should have lost a life and neded to return to the checkpoint.
When I tried to reset the level, I couldn't the only options in the pause menu were: sound, resume, and quit game. I believe there should be a main menu selection or restart level on the pause menu.
And finally, I don't like using the shift key to play it, it gives me the "sticky" keys option in my computer.
But overall this is a good game that is for free. Good work, make sure to figure out how to correct that glitch for your next game.

sakis?

Hey my name is Sakis :D I should play this

Good platformer with its own twist

You know, using shift button for attack button is kinda annoying but that's not the only annoying thing. Being unable to attack while jumping or climbing is really annoying :(. This inability makes certain enemies hard to kill
I even had couple cases in which arrows flew just above bat without killing it :(

Some arrowproof enemies attack too fast making it hard to kill them without getting hit. Hmmm... it makes me think it's impossible to kill most enemies here without getting hit. Oh well, at least there are potions to make that up

Level design is really good, it gets harder as level progresses and it has treasures and goodies placed in extra spots. Love it!

Having optional path which leads to Egypt is great idea :D. I said great idea cause:

  1. Sakis can refill HP by finding potions in Egypt

  2. Sakis can collect more treasures & bloods in Egypt

  3. Sakis can refresh his eyes by going outside

  4. Sakis can refresh by fighting Egyptian enemies

  5. And the best part is: Sakis can return to Egypt again after being returned by Ahnotup allowing him to collect more treasures and bloods :D :D(#5 is bug report actually)Boss fights are boring cause all of them are just standing still in one spot. They have different attacks but it would be better if they can move aroundSuggestions:

  6. You should avoid using same sprites for Bandit's boss and for regular enemy one. I thought the first skull thrower is the boss OTOH I mistook the real one as regular enemy

  7. Skull throwers and flame throwers should have different throw rate. My suggestion is the first skull throwers should throw skulls in low rate or his time interval between each throw is 4 or 5 times the current one (slightly longer than sphinx shooters). The Flame throwers should have 2 or 3 times. The last throwers can have the current throw rate
This is to give difficulty progression

  8. Some flame throwers are placed in too strategic place making it hard to kill them without getting hit. You should fix their placement giving good spot for Sakis to shoot them and dodge their flames

  9. I can see that you give information about many things in included .pdf. Why not add information about respawn points too?

  10. Add death and respawn animation to Sakis. Currently he's respawned instantly on latest respawn point just after he lost his last HP. If you gave him death & respawn animation, it would look cooler and give player some time to prepare to move Sakis again after his death :D

  11. Related to #5, kill any enemy near respawn point to prevent Sakis from getting stuck if he's spawned right on enemy
The stuck issue happened during fight against Nyx

  12. Add hitflash when attack connects. Currently there are no FX shown when Sakis or enemies are hit. It would be cooler if there are some hitflashes :D

  13. Allow Sakis to attack while jumping. It's platformer's standard and it makes game easier and more fun :)I've completed the game and ... ah, no spoilers ;)

like it. nice playing
