As a family of four and needing to please two children, one wanting a zoo and the other a water park. This was perfect to meet their "wants" of a family day out. The zoo was small enough to spend a few hours in and the shows were just amazing. The dolphin show was the best I have ever seen. It was so good and the photo opportunity at the end was an unexpected surprise!
After the zoo we ate dinner in the ranch restaurant which was great, amazing selection from pizza to burgers, all at a very reasonable price. We all had a meal and a drink each and it cost just under €40.
After dinner we headed to the water park, no scramble for sun beds and the park was great not too big and no ques for slides it was just enough to keep the kids entertained for 2 hours. I would definitely recommend this park to family's for a great day out to please different interests! And I would definitely return.

I did this walk today. It’s a really nice walk although a lot of it is walking on uneven ground so flip-flops are not advisable as your feet will get covered in volcanic earth. There are also some pretty steep steps. I would suggest doing it early morning or early evening because there is no shade. I walked one way and got the water taxi back, which was wonderful. It cost €9 for one person one way but was well worth it.

Los pocillos is a little gem of a hotel if you're looking for a relatively cheap all inc holiday, in a quiet spot but close to beach n bars etc,
However unfortunately there's a "but" coming up.
In the jet2 advert you have happy couples leaping into pools and enjoying luxurious hotels, unfortunately if your given certain rooms (numbers withheld), at los pocilos your room with a view will be a million miles from the advert.
And if you do get a special room its no use asking to move, as the hotel is always fully booked.
So if you dont mind using a service alley way dodging the cleaners trolleys and dustbins, you know! The place where old hotel chairs go to retire, then Los pocillos is a real gem of a hotel

Ben hete more than once. Location is good for access to restaurant, bars or just going for a walk. Properly looks a little tired but the facilities including reception, bar, restaurant, accommodation and staff are fine. Food was OK but nearby restaurants avai6if you wanted a change

Beautiful long, sandy beach. Well worth a visit. 1 euros 40 cents per person from Corralejo on the bus. 4 euros for a sunbed.

I wanted to be able to swim 'properly' whilst on holiday. This was the perfect experience. I paid for 7 visits in which I could use all facilities if I wanted, I only used the pool. It was delightful, landed pool. All very clean

On the footpath between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, after about 1.5 km, this section called Barranco del Quiquere cliff is about 800 m long and offers secluded bays, sunbathing areas and hidden caves. It is only advisable to go here during low tide.

The Barranco del Quiquere area is also particularly popular with naturists.

Like most areas on the south-east coast, the Barranco del Quiquere usually has only a few waves.
From the top of the cliffs, a staircase and to the north and south other, more risky climbing passages are leading down to the water, where you can find and choose your quiet and more or less hidden spot for your stay.

Entering the water partly is not very easy and the wearing of bathing shoes is rather recommended because of the occasional sea urchins.

To get to the Barranco del Quiquere by car, turn off the road between the villages of Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero after about 1.5 km on the unpaved road towards the sea. ( keep straight towards sea intil you reach carpark). From there you will see a path that takes you down to the pedestrian trail that connects Puerto del Carmen with Puerto del Calero and a sign indicating you arrived at Barranco del QuiQuere. You can either walk around towards the little cove and head left where you will find some nice spots to swim at low tide or head up the stairs (go left towards Puerto del Carmen) untill you find a steep set of stairs that takes you down to some great swimming and sunbathing areas.

No sunbeds or umbrellas, no toilets, no trash bins and also no first aid station, only crystal clear water, pure nature and often also hardly other visitors awaits you there.

We enjoyed this activity, it was well organised, easy to book (and flexible about times, as our taxi arrived so late to bring us).

Decent snack facility with seating area for the waiting around parts…

The kids in our group did 2 rounds, they wanted to go again!

We travelled there by taxi, it was awkward to get to by road, but easy return.

Lanzarote was a warm and pleasant place to visit for a weekend away in the sun. Plane journey there took 4.5 hours. Our pre-booked taxi and driver were waiting at the airport to drive us to our hotel. We stayed at the Lanzarote Village Hotel, which was well located, clean, modern, had two swimming pools and a good selection of food at its restaurant. The beaches were all within walking distance but one would need a car to visit the volcanoes that were visible around us. You wouldn't need a car to enjoy the warm and beautiful sunsets on the hills of the Mirador Playa Grande.
