- Brenda C1 contributionWe had a great experience during our guided tour of Kyoto. Shuji was an excellent guide. He kept in touch with us for weeks prior to our arrival to be sure we were on the same page with our plans. We had a tight schedule since we were getting off of a cruise ship at 11:00 a.m. and had to be all aboard by 8 p.m. Our cruise docked in Osaka which was an hour away from Kyoto. Shuji helped us plan our itinerary within the constraints of our time commitment. He was flexible with our wishes since we wanted to experience riding the Bullet train and fit this in for us even though it wasn't in our planned itinerary. He clearly put a great deal of effort into planning the sights we saw and he was very knowledgeable regarding all the sites. He spoke English extremely well. He had prepared pictures and historical information regarding the sites we visited. - Jenny DAtlanta, GA9 contributionsIndra was warm and engaging from the first moment of the tour to the last! Truly a professional with many years of experience as a tour guide. He went above and beyond to show us many great Kyoto highlights, to share with us the best photo spots and insights of each location. The day really flew by. We went as a small group of 4, which kept it intimate. It was very interesting getting Indra’s very unique point of view as an expat who speaks Japanese and has lived here for several years. Absolutely worth the price and we would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the major sites and get to know the city really well in a day.

She was an amazing guide, talented in English, with a great understanding of Japanese history for both its recent and distant past.
She emboldened us to try some new foods at the markets, found us a lovely spot for lunch, and helped us identify things which are unique to Kyoto - such as the guardians above the doors, inari sushi, etc.
She was able to answer all of our questions about the temples and shrines, explained the rites taking place and taught us a couple phrases of japanese that will help us along the rest of our trip. Such a lovely woman! I would highly recommend any tours with her as your guide. It's not easy finding places that are less crowded in such a busy city, but my photographer was a real pro at it. She was patient, creative and you could tell that she puts her heart into her work. She always managed to get the perfect shot and was always thinking of ways to make my experience unique. - Philokypros INicosia5 contributionsIt was our honeymoon, and we had a great time with Kosuke! We booked a private car day trip from Osaka to Kyoto. We really enjoyed the private trip from Osaka to Kyoto. We customised our itinerary based on our needs and visited the must-see places in Kyoto. We even had a local lunch with Kosuke in a small area outside of the tourist Kyoto. Kosuke is a great guy. He's always happy to explain things and help you out with anything you need. He was really enthusiastic about showing us around Kyoto. I'd highly recommend him! We corresponded beforehand and she provided a schedule for us covering as many sights as she possibly could, suggesting how we could make the most of our visit. She is very knowledgeable of history and had plenty of interesting facts at each location. Her English is impeccable.
I doubt that we would have seen so much without her expertise.

She was also amazing at helping us to navigate the different public transport aspects to get to each place efficiently. Starting early also seemed to avoid alot of the crowd though places were still quite busy.
