For decades, Trapper John’s Canoe Livery has connected central Ohio residents with outdoor adventures, and now the long-standing canoe and kayak livery may soon be under new ownership.

According to a statement that appears on Trapper John’s website, the business is for sale.

“Dear Valued Customer, we want to take a moment to inform you that we are currently undergoing a transition. While we are closed at the moment, we are excited to share that Trapper Johns is now for sale.  We appreciate your continued support and patience during this time,” the statement reads. “For inquiries regarding the sale of the business, please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected]. We look forward to passing the torch to new owners who will continue to uphold the same values that have made Trapper Johns a beloved part of the community.”

Located at 7141 London Groveport Rd. in Grove City, Trapper John’s launched an on-site Creekside Cafe last year as well.

The Grove City outdoor adventure hub could not be reached for comment before this story was published. The future of the cafe and waterfront livery, and how selling the business would impact both concepts, is currently unclear.
