Can you tell us please where to find him?
When I did the quest to find another lady's husband, I eventually found him over the corpse of a man and a boar.
The first time I did this quest and talked to him he immediately triggered the next stage of the quest. All good, right?
I finished the quest but since this quest is tied to two achievements depending on how you finish it, I loaded an earlier save to do the other solution and get the 2nd acheivment.
This time however the guy refused to talk to me normally. He just kept asking if I had "seen a boar" around here while he's still walking around it's corpse.
Eventually I noticed a "inspect" option over the human corpse and clicking that allowed the quest to progress normally. But I did not have to do that the first time.
My point is simply that this game is buggy AF. So maybe inspect the area to see if there's a similar object to interact with, or try leaving and coming back. Experiment a bit. Even redoing from an earlier save, you might not get the exact same outcome so try a few things and then try them all again.
Welcome to the life of an Early Access unpaid Beta Tester. lol
Yeah that find the husband one got me too. Looked for ages until realised the boar was right beside him. Then thought it was bugged then noticed the body.
That one wasn’t buggy but needed more indicators as it wasn’t at all clear what was needed
