Delicious like always! The staff is great and super attentive. I have never had a bad meal or drink here! Filet was perfectly cooked and the crem brulee is truly out of this world!

It was amazing! Our server was super nice and explained the menu to us in great detail then brought of a few canapés. Drinks were really good. The steaks were absolutely to die for! All three were perfectly cooked and great cuts of meat. The dessert was just as good!

Service was great, prime rib about the same as other high-priced restaurants, nothing special, not "melt-in-your-mouth" unless you're a T-Rex. Prices that require a second mortgage. Sides were below high-end standards. Almost $200 for a couple with one glass of low-end (relatively speaking) Pinot Noir each, no appetizers and one desert to share. Even the Japanese would probably think that $35/oz for Wagyu is nuts.

First of all the steaks are excellent. I had the ribeye and my colleague had prime rib. Both perfectly cooked, au jus on the prime rib not too salty and perfect. The rib eye was melt in your mouth. We had half a dozen oysters to start (very small) but good quality and well presented. But the sides need work. Creamed spinach had too much cheese on top and was fairly watery. The marrow butter didn't have a lot of flavor and the au poivre was way too sweet. Cheesecake was meh. While I think 801 Chophouse meets all expectations when it comes to steak, you'll get better side dishes at Ruths Chris and no one beats Ruths Chris for their cheesecakes! I'd have grilled asparagus next time and I didnt try their salads - this is the second time I have been to 801 and I would happily go back

The service was excellent. The food was even more excellent. The music was a little bit too loud I couldn’t hear my husband from across the table, but overall it was a great experience. We ordered the calamari and it was delicious!! The 12 ounce New York strip was amazing but it is a lot of steak.

We reserved a small room to celebrate our 50th anniversary with friends. Lindsay was so helpful all along the way and answered all of my emails within a couple of hours. Our waiter was Jake and he was ahead of us every step of the way. If we asked for something, he usually had already ordered it or taken care of it. We were given a sample menu that we were able to change to suit our tastes. Everything was excellent. We had prepared a slide show with music, and there was a tv on the wall with all the hookups we needed. All of our friends later commented on what a perfect evening it was! We will definitely go back, and I'm sure all of our friends will as well.

I have a level where I put high end steak/chop houses and this one did not make the cut. The staff was friendly and attentive but the food was ok not great. The french onion soup had good flavor but it came cool not hot. I had the Dover Sole and the presentation was beautiful but it was cold and we had to wait for the sauce to come so heat it up. The cream spinach was cool not hot and oily. The other dish a filet was good but the temperature was cool so a recommendation of a warm sauce was recommended and we did that so the meat does not get over cooked. I ordered dessert to go (cheesecake) it was good but the cake was dumped in a box without it placed on parchment paper, wax paper, foil, something-it was on the box and it stuck ugly in the to go box. Good thing I did not ask for the souffle to go. Not a place I would return to right away if I ever return to Denver.

801 Chophouse is my favorite Denver Steakhouse...once you get through the doors. The fact that it is in the mall is the ONLY thing I don't like about it. It is a true Midwest steakhouse that reminds me of the steakhouses I used to go to in Chicago. Every steak I have had there has been perfect. There is a large selection of sides including regular Mac and Cheese for those of us who don't want Lobster in our Mac and Cheese. Their drinks are great including a very large selection of Whiskeys. If you join their club and download their app there are some great perks.

There were a couple of low lights but the star as expected at a high end steak restaurant was the meat. To begin, we chose to split the Steak Tartare and a Chop Salad. It's kind of silly how much flavor a simple vinaigrette can add to a salad. The steak tartare was probably the best we've had and was very large for only two people....but we managed through it. Starting with the average was two of our three sides. Asparagus and Scalloped Potatoes. Both things we love. The asparagus preparation was a little bland (especially compared to how we typically prepare and roast it at home) and had not been broken very well on many stalks such that we got the bitter bases mixed in with the more ripe areas that caused a few puckers of bites. The scalloped potatoes on the underside of the dish were well cooked and good. The overly thick crust of cheese on the top however were a bit too much. In the end we peeled off the top layer and put it to the side. One amazing side that we did not expect -- thanks to the recommendation by our server Liam -- was the creamed corn. Undoubtedly the best we've ever had. Is it too much to lick the bowl clean? Probably so -- so we didn't. One entre that we chose was the Double Colorado Lamb Chop. Neither of us love lamb so much that we order it regularly. If not prepared just right it can be very average but we figured this should be a great place to go for it. We were not disappointed with the flavor. Truly exceptional. In the end there was not a lot of meat but the flavor was worth it. For the other meal, we went off the menu for a specialty item. Bone-in Filet. I didn't even know this was a thing before this. It turned out to be one of the best cuts of meat I have ever eaten. Seasoned simply and charred perfectly, this was unbelievably good. It has the tenderness of a filet mixed with the marbling of a good rib-eye or new york strip near the bone. Pretty ridiculous. Overall, despite a couple of less loved sides, this was an exceptionally flavored meal highlighted by the meat. The service was excellent. The prices are high as expected for a top quality steak house but not out of line for comparable places.

Went in for Dinner after a long road trip. Dining solo so I expected to eat at the bar, but they surprised me and sat me at a table.. I had the filet and it was excellent. The Sauce Béarnaise was the best I have ever had. The Wedge salad was great but the Crème Brule was spectacular. The free valet parking was a nice touch as well.

Nice atmosphere and a great martini but beyond that it was quite average. The tomato and onion salad was a disappointment. Campari tomatoes just do not hold up on this type of salad like a fresh beefsteak would have and frankly there was not much flavor. I ordered the prime rib and it looked like it had been chopped with a dull knife. In addition, while properly cooked, it was just not a very good piece of meat. Others ordered Ribeye steaks which were overcooked and over seasoned. The french fried potatoes were excellent and more than plenty for our table of five. I know this is a chain of restaurants trying to be a top tier establishment but for me they missed the mark this time around.
