My time at Rockhurst has been a very impactful part of my life. I feel like I am able to be myself and fit in with almost any activity. This school has made me feel more involved inside and outside of school. I am a better person now than when I first came to Rockhurst. I love the fact that no matter what the activity is, I can find a way to help others, meet new people, and create a brotherhood that will last a lifetime. Rockhurst is a very special place and it’s more than a school, it’s a family.
Rockhurst has set me up for success and taught me the value of being “men for others”. The teachers care about the students and provide an open door policy. The education I’ve received will give me the
confidence going forward in college. As for what I would change, I think that every high school, Rockhurst in particular should teach more about financial literacy.

My overall experience of Rockhurst High School has been overall amazing. I am going to start by telling you about my lowest point. I live 30 minutes away from Rockhurst, while attending there with 0 people from my eighth grade class. In the middle of Spring of eighth grade year, we were all hit with the COVID pandemic. This pandemic eventually stretched all the way through mid-Sophomore year. Between this time, I had made no friends. Social distancing and masks made it incredibly difficult to do so, and I had not been extremely social myself. I made decent grades, but was failing socially. I remember reaching the end of Sophomore year and deciding that I had to make some sort of change. It was here where I reached my highest point. I decided to make the bold decision to join the Rockhurst football team. It was here that I truly learned what the Rockhurst brotherhood was truly about. I met many new people, and made a decent amount of friends. Life was really starting to improve for me.
