I graduated from Lake Stevens High School about 2 years ago this coming June, and I honestly don't have negative connotations for that school. It's not the most perfect school around, it has its faults. But there are opportunities that it provides that I'm eternally grateful for that helped boost my college education.
If you are doing well academically, or by force of personality, you will generally get along with teachers and staff at the school. If not, things are likely to be harder for you, especially if you enroll in more difficult courses. The sports participation is through the roof: we've gone to state with several members of sports consistently, the football team is quite good, the cross country team appears to be the largest in the state (over 120 students participating for the past 2-3 years), and the track and field team reached nearly 300 people participating last year. There are several clubs available, and an effort is made to have dances and good assembly participation, but school spirit has been lessened in the years since Covid. One major issue is with vandalism in the bathrooms, particularly in the men's bathrooms. One set is constantly closed and in a state of repair, though the rest tend to be well maintained and stocked. There are free pads and tampons in the girl's bathrooms.
It has always felt like home. The people that are close to you feel like family, and there is so much culture, especially around sports and school spirit. The school does a good job at being involved in the community and the staff get to know the students.
I think that LSHS does a great job at creating welcoming environment for all students and teachers alike. I noticed if there were ever any social issues or conflict they were often quickly addressed and resolved. I also realized that the teachers seem to truly care about their student's wellbeing, and were very invested in their success
I have found the school to be a very welcoming place. Teacher and fellow students are all incredibly people, they have changed for the better. I have met some of the most amazing people at this school and I will be always be grateful for the LSHS. This school has an incredible community built and we try our hardest to make sure everyone has a great experience.
I love the High school. It is a great environment with inclusive learning opportunities and amazing staff that always make you feel welcome and safe. Each staff member cares deeply about the students and you can truly see that. Our school has lots of spirit and passion for sports as well as our academic clubs.
I've enjoyed my time at lake stevens high school. The teachers are really supportive. The student body goes above and beyond for the school. We have some of the best athletics programs in the state. The only concern I have is that not all of the clubs are created equally. The football team would get these huge send off that everyone has to participate in when there's a huge game. When other clubs like swim/dive or tennis are sending to state competitions, the send offs are only optional. It's not a perfect school, but it is still a great school none the less.
At Lake Stevens Highschool, the opportunities for growth and learning are impeccably large and spacious. You can grow in many ways, whether through personal development, learning growth, or physical growth. You are constantly encouraged to give your true feelings and put your input through different media, google forms, and more. Our teachers try and connect with students and they make the students feel heard and cared for. Lake Stevens High School has become my favorite place to be and I am so grateful fro this school, as well as the programs offered, and the teachers and community here.
Pretty great, the staff are nice and respectful for the most part, and a higih majority of students are the same
This school is absolutely amazing. From the teachers to the janitors, everyone is so welcoming and accepting of who you are as a student, but more importantly who you are as a person. It doesn’t matter where you come from at this school, you matter to everyone here. Go Vikings!
I enjoyed the Running Start program and Video Game Club. Being a running start student did make me feel a bit removed from the school, however.
The school has a lot of money with many good programs. The teachers and administrators treat you like dumb high school students.
Lake Stevens High School is a great school. I've had great teachers who I feel have prepared me for a successful college career.
I am a senior at lake stevens high school and I have loved my 3 years here. The academics are out of this world and athletics is top-notch. The environment is so fantastic and everyone is so nice. I recommend this school to anyone and everyone. This is the best high school to make memories at. GO VIKS
Very supportive with your achievement and making sure you graduate high school. Also very supportive with college admissions and helping you step by step to get get applications submitted. Overall very spirited and supportive school to make sure you're getting your things done but also having a blast.
Its a pretty good school. Campus is great and the teachers are really nice and helpful most of the time.
Good athletics and education and building. The school itself goes though a lot of scandals. Parking is difficult to find because there is not enough spots for students.
