One of the very best museum experiences. The guides were very knowledgeable and were able to answer all questions. There were fascinating demonstrations of the machinery. Above all, the experience brought home the challenging conditions people worked under, but also the camaraderie that bound them together as a community. For a really complete experience, visit on a steam day.

We have visited HAPPA many times. Absolutely fabulous today as ever. I booked online and paid our tiny entrance fee, this made arrival at reception very easy. I also reserved our table in the cafe, this again was easy online and we were efficiently greeted and directed to our table. Lunch / late breakfast was delicious and absolutely cracking value. Then the horses and seeing our old favourites especially Rose/ Sansa for me. But love them all, real life Follyfoot! Looking forward to coming back soon. The museum/ archive you are creating sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing that. Many years ago Horse and Pony magazine ran a feature on HAPPA ponies, I remember Nevada, Aladdin and Spring, I used to follow this avidly every week, great memories x

This is an architectural building with some ornate sections to it. The grounds are well kept and there are a lot of parts to explore and take dogs for walks.

Check when it is open. We visited on a Monday when it was closed !!!1 However we could still explore the grounds and and see the house.

The views and the sound are something else. We would definitely visit again because I can imagine it would be different every time. Easy parking to access it but not many spaces. Wear good shoes as the path was quite muddy.

Thoroughly enjoyed the few hours we spent here, including a row round the lake. Great place for families. But no dogs allowed.

An excellent day here at the park and a great ride on the miniature train. My daughter loved it. We were also greeted by a lovely, friendly lady named Diane(or Diana). She took our money and chatted to us while we waited for our turn. Our daughter was a bit unsure while waiting for the train and this lady made her smile. As soon as the train set off, our daughter was all smiles!
We felt the train was really good value for money and enjoyed it even as adults! Definitely worth a ride if you’re nearby!

Struggled a bit to find this, as the sign is small, but so glad I made the effort. A short decent from the roadside down steps led to the waters edge. Very secluded walk around the ponds, with fisherman dotted around enjoying the sunshine and trying their luck. Very natural surroundings and pleasant place for a picnic.
