Jane, the only female cop in Boston's homicide division, is tough, relentless and rarely lets her guard down, while the impeccably dressed Maura displays a sometimes icy temperament -- she is, after all, more comfortable among the dead than the living.       Audience Member Rizzoli & Isles continue solving crimes into a second season in TNT's hit drama. The show undergoes some major changes as Rizzoli's father is written off in the most clichéd way possible (divorcing his wife and running out on his family), her ex-con brother Tommy comes back to town, and Rizzoli and Isles are both given romantic interests; male romantic interests to undercut some of the perceived lesbian undertones. Still, the cases-of-the-week are as interesting and provocative as ever, and there's some good character development. Also, the list of guest stars is quite strong and includes Chris Vance, Ernie Hudson, Tessa Thompson, and Bill O'Reilly. Full of entertaining and compelling murder mysteries, Rizzoli & Isles delivers a solid second season. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
