I don’t know what General Tso did for the Chinese military but his chicken SLAPS! And let me tell you, ya can’t go wrong if you eat at the Hong Kong. Once a week my coworkers and I get the lunch special and ooooooooweeeeeee!!! Half the time I can’t even finish and I end up getting two meals out of it. All for under $10

Been going here since I moved from Phoenix Arizona. Chinese can be hit or miss. The place is very pleasant and welcoming. The lady remembers my name (I go by Peter) and even called me back after I placed an order to make sure she got it correct since they’re always so busy.

I’ve been a customer since I moved to Hammond and this is not just the best Chinese food in Hammond but in the whole country. The food is always fresh and hot and portions are very generous. I highly recommend this place! Some of my favorites are the shrimp with broccoli in white sauce, the green pepper steak and shrimp fried rice. Give it a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

While the food is descent, I despise the cash only policy. It’s bad enough that most expats will not pay US taxes thanks to the benefits of Foreign Earned Income Exclusion and Foreign Tax Credit. Then in a obvious attempt to ensure the flexibility of fudging income results, this business only exception cash with the suggestion of the customer withdrawing funds from the gas station ATM. So, you pay an ATM fee and most commonly an additional fee to your bank for using said ATM. This increase the bottom-line cost for the meal.
