甕棺、銅鏡と弥生から古墳時代にかけての立岩遺跡を中心とした出土品は、素晴らしいものです。すぐ間近で見学できます。

立岩遺跡と山本作兵衛炭鉱記録画が良かった

新飯塚駅東口から徒歩５分の位置にある施設。立岩遺跡からの出土品の展示は充実していて、国の重要文化財指定の出土品も数々展示されています。特にかめ棺の人骨と副葬品の展示は、印象に残りました。次に、山本作兵衛の炭鉱記録画。世界記憶遺産登録外の作品だが、原画が数点と、複製画を含めると１３点展示されています。当時の炭鉱労働者の生活や炭坑内の採掘現場の様子が描かれていて、興味深く鑑賞しました。思ったより内容が充実した、資料館でした。入場料は、大人1人２３０円です。

できれば近代史部分の拡充を

JR新飯塚駅から歩いてすぐの場所にある歴史博物館です。古墳時代の甕棺の展示が非常に充実していたのは意外でした。近代の鉱業についての展示もありますが、もう少しその部分を拡充しても良いのではと感じました。とは言え、山本作兵衛の炭鉱画や鉱山で使用されたガス検査機のどの機器など、見どころが多く十分楽しめました。

これはすごい

正直あまり期待していませんでしたがすばらしい収蔵物に声を失いました。遺跡から出た棺や銅鏡はすべて本物で、どれも実にすばらしい。ちょうど終戦記念日前で特別展を行っていたが、戦艦金剛の海軍旗があったり、実に貴重で興味深い展示品が多かった。終戦間近にB29の編隊に一機で立ち向かい亡くなった若者の話は涙なくして読むことはできませんでした。

炭鉱をもう少し取り上げて欲しい

乗り換えに1時間ほど時間があったので行ってみました。飯塚＝炭鉱のイメージがあり、ネットでも展示してある旨の情報があったので期待したんですが、考古資料の方が多く、炭鉱はほんの一部でした。入場料倍にしてもいいので、まだ炭鉱の生き証人が存命のうちに資料を集め、拡充させてもらいたいものです。

遺跡関係の展示がメイン

新飯塚駅から徒歩で5分ほど。
入館料は２００円。
日曜日の午前中でしたが、空いていました。
かつての炭鉱の町である飯塚市なので、
個人的には炭鉱関係の展示を期待していましたが、
メインは古代（弥生時代）の遺跡関係の展示のようです。
それでも炭鉱関係の写真や現物を見ると
その時代への思いがこみ上げてきます。

新飯塚駅から徒歩数分とアクセス至便。駐車場も十分確保されています。令和４年度企画展「戦争と人々のくらし－戦艦「金剛」と太平洋戦争－」を見に行きました。入館料２３０円がＪＡＦ割引で１６０円。収蔵展示室、企画展示室は撮影禁止ですが、常設展示室は山本作兵衛翁絵画を除き特段写真撮影禁止ではありません。筑豊最大の人口を擁し、筑豊の中核機能を担う飯塚市にある歴史資料館。炭都筑豊の心意気ここにあり。友好都市の関係か兵馬俑の展示も目を引きます。

「立岩遺跡」の資料展示

新飯塚駅から徒歩5分。入館料220円。
飯塚市にある弥生時代の遺跡群「立岩遺跡」の出土品などが展示の中心となっている。常設展示室には、石炭採掘の道具やジオラマ、民具・農具、日本画・陶器などの美術品なども展示されているので、地元の子供が地域の歴史を学ぶ場になっているのであろう。

歴史を大切に守っています

「飯塚市歴史資料館」ってご存知ですか、ＪＲ新飯塚駅から徒歩5分ほどの所にある飯塚市の歴史を知る資料館です。是非来館して頂きたいものですね。館内は撮影禁止になっていています。縄文時代、弥生時代、古墳時代に出土した品々が展示されています。また庭園には万葉集の山上憶良と大伴旅人歌碑もありました。

実際には炭鉱の歴史が淡々意図並んでいますか、何度か行きましたが
催し物もこれといって力をいれてやっているものとは思えません。
家族で一緒ではなく、炭鉱を知りたい人がいくところかと思います。
