ethernet to second wifi network

so I have made two Wi-Fi networks on the T-Mobile internet the default (2.4 ghz) and 

 

 the one I made (5) how do I connect to the 5 ghz one using LAN? I tried both ports and only the main one connects

@Gbkaidrn, when you create a separate SSID for each band (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz), and restart your gateway, your devices will see the SSIDs. On your devices, you can choose which SSID you want to connect to. It is helpful to use the band in the SSID name (e.g., HOME_2.4Ghz).

When I connect the Ethernet to my windows 10 laptop, only the main one shows up connected

No... you don't understand.

 

If you connect via a LAN cable (aka. Ethernet cable), you are not connecting through 5ghz, or 2.4ghz, because they are WiFi. The 'Wi' in WiFi stands for Wireless, as in 'not wired'. If you are connected via a wire, you aren't connected to wire-LESS network.

@Gbkaidrn I’m sorry I missed your reply to my post.  I think you are confusing 5 GHz and 5G.  5 GHz means five gigahertz which is the frequency of the Wi-Fi signal the gateway uses inside your home.  5G is shorthand for “fifth generation” which is the description of the cellular wireless signal used outside of your home.   You can connect your devices to the gateway through ethernet wired or 5 GHz wireless or 2.4 GHz wireless.  The gateway translates them into various cellular wireless frequencies to communicate with the tower.
