Dt or Digital Arts is an amazing school full of life and diversity. The school is dedicated to allow all students to be open and free to feel safe. I honestly would like more men in the school preferably African American Men, to represent us gentlemen
Overall, a great school. As with all NYC public HS they are stretched thin and you can feel it once any issues arise. Their hearts are in the right place and they have some excellent teachers.
The whole covid thing so I had to miss out on my freshman and sophomore year. But in senior year I was able to make new friends and learn bettwe
Honestly the work was annoying but the amazing connections i made with people there and the teachers made it all better.
Theres definititly better out there. The cinema production and digital art courses are amazing, however some acade arent as string as they should be.
I like that this high school has allowed me to explore the various worlds concerning Digital Art and Cinema as said in the name of the high school. This high school has great extra curriculars and has allowe dme as a student to venture out and explore various interests I have. This school in terms of academics is quite average and on par with many other high schools, there's nothing in particular that makes them stand out but the staff at this school are quite welcoming and I have made some awesome connections with the staff here.
It's alright for the most part , we only have half a floor to our selves we share the other half with another school . It's relatively small and easier to build relationships with teachers if needed .
Choosing to go to this high school was one of the best choices I've done, the environment is welcoming and positive. The staff will always try to accommodate to their students and encourage them to keep going. They provide as much mentoring as possible to keep students on top of their grades and help them find a career or sustainable path for themselves.
These past few years at DT have been amazing. I feel as though I have been nourished as a student, and I am prepared to be out there in the real world. The staff are so kind and considerate, but they also place the correct amount of pressure to encourage students to be better in all aspects possible. Truly an impactful experience.
This was a small close knit school full of many tech savvy students. Digital arts & Cinema Technology also known as DT offered many opportunities such as Filmmaking, Coding, Robotics, and much more. This school is located in Cobble Hill Brooklyn only 15 minutes away from the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Bridge. I was apart of the graduating class of 2019 and left DT with my own website, the knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Coding and a Internship to teach younger students about Art and film. This school offers AP programs and have an amazing college readiness program known as One goal.
My high school was very weird. They would have us do a lot of things and have us attend school on days when other public high schools didn't have to attend school. I'm not sure why. Subjects like earth science and geometry were not beneficial at all and a lot of students did poorly in those classes. I was taught a lot about my major and it was very helpful. This school is really organized and has a good way of reaching out to their students when necessary.
Some of the things I did in digital arts and cinema were great some amazing films in there. We also edited these films with Adobe premiere going and entertaining them into competition and gaining awards for the films we created.
It's not a bad school but I personally feel that it wasn't a great fit for me. They had some good programs and courses but I feel they could work on their ability to help students.
What I like about unschool is the time that teachers take to help each student individually. Being a small school it gives the teachers the privilege to be closer to students and firm bonds with them. One thing I’d like to see change is the amount of out-of-state college information students receive because the majority of the schools that we hear about are in state and for some students it doesn’t appeal to them. So, expanding that knowledge and research to those interested will be fair.
I am very happy with the art programs this schools has to offer As the name was recently changed to Digital arts and Cinema Technology high school ,students been exposed to digital arts and cinema production programs. The programs are rigorous but also provides college readiness skills to students while also allowing us to explore the field of art.
What i like about this school is that they are very welcoming to everyone and the staff is always there if you need someone.
I have been here since freshman and now a senior. There are many clubs and if you cant find one you can create one. The school change its name to Digital Arts and Cinema Technology which lives ups to its name since we have a film class and an arts class which we the freshman can decide as one of the classes to take. Overall its fun and very interactive especially when in the senior years.
