I live in a modular home community for over 15 years. Ive had 3 different families as neighbors in this home and had no issues with the past two. The noise from car stereo blasting after 10pm, my windows closed and can hear word for word the songs or the bass from video game until well after 2:00am, then starts back after 5:00am and revving car engine more than probably needed around 6:45am.
I've talked to both residents, offered to buy headphones. I have spoke with park management was told,sleep on your couch, knock on their door in middle of night. Was told she is single working mother of teenager ,Ill try to reach out to her. Ive called sherriffs department at least 10+ times. They either do not answer door or promise sherriffs they will be more aware. Sheriff department told me to take melatonin or wesr ear plugs and even that there is no Noise Ordinancein this township. Excuses is all I get, I should not have to consider moving as a solution.

Your solution is exactly what the police told you to do . Place speakers in your windows facing their homes cover the back of the speakers with blankets to muffle the sound you hear then crank the volume as loud as you can, put your headphones on take melatonin and go to sleep. When the cops bang on your door, tell them thank you it works I took melatonin and put headphones on . Noise what noise you said there was no noise ordinance, they shut the door in their face. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. My neighbor would play love songs over and over and sing along to them on a karaoke machine all summer till 4 am . Summer people can do no wrong, I hooked up an outside speaker in my crawlspace vent pointed at their house and played Xmas melodies on a loop at a whisper 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Sounds like to travel , it drove him crazy and since it was a whisper they could make me turn it down. Once you heard it you could stop hearing it blocks away. I turned it off when he got rid of the karaoke machine. Fight fire with fire it works.

I'm not saying you should do anything that was said above, nor am I saying that you should do anything with the cool ideas I was reading about. I just want to share some random fun facts I found.
Birds love birdseed Stray cats love catnip Stray cats have bad fights in the middle of the night. Raccoons and skunks love garbage Skunks don't like to be scared. Light reflects off aluminum foil and mirrors. Windchimes are annoying Baby Shark is an irritating song, especially played on a loop. If you wear earplugs and noise canceling headphones, you won't hear the neighbors complain when the skunks spray their house and you won't hear their music. There are sounds on the internet that sound like a smoke detector with a low battery Small speakers are easy to hide. Bluetooth is your friend. A small rock inside a valve stem will cause a slow leak
One issue I am having, they can see from their windows (living room and bedroom) cars driving by. Like clock work the sherriffs pull up, to address the issue with neighbor, prior to them getting out of car music has stopped. But they leave and within 10-15 minutes it starts back up. I have even called sherriff's department twice within 90 minutes one night.
Check up on the noise ordinance at the city/county/state level to put pressure on the sheriff's office to shut down the neighbor. If that doesn't help, call the state police for them to enforce it.

I’m sorry for this horrible situation. People just don’t raise their children to be considerate of others. I’m not speaking as an old person, I’m speaking as someone who was raised in a family where manners were taught. As a mother, I raised my children to be respectful of the footprint they leave.
I just fear that your neighbors will escalate instead of backing down.
Thank you, and it has gotten worse. Npise has continued. I received a call from the manager of my community, who called to tell me I wrote them up they were pretty upset and denied it was them. She slso said, "Your neighbors told me the sherriffs department came into their home, looked around, and said there were no issues." I told her, "I have copies of all the sherriffs departments' reports of my calls, and they all say occupants did not answer the door." The manager said, "Why would they blatantly lie to me?" I said I do not know, but I do not think the sherriffs reports will lie. Then she told me there is really nothing I can do. I am pretty upset with this as I have done everything. She also told me that with my health that maybe a community like this just isn't right for me anymore. I was shocked, I have lived here for 17 years and never had any issues until these new people moved in 2 years ago. I can not afford to move not am physically able to do it myself, and rent is affordable, being I am on Social Security. I am lost now.
I think your safety is important here. I’m afraid that they will escalate. Sadly, you will probably have to stay and make adjustments to your own life. The best hope is that they move.
