William Elphinstone was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

Succeeded his cousin in 1861 as 15th Lord Elphinstone. On 30 Dec 1885 he was created Baron Elphinstone, of Elphinstone in the County of Haddington. [1]

He was a Captain in the Royal Navy

In his Will it mentions his brother Hon Edward Charles Buller Elphinstone, wife Hon Constance Euphemia Worouzow and late Catherine Dowager Countess of Pembroke & Mongomery her grandmother Usual residence when he died 61 Portland Place, London Cause of Death Angina Pectoish, Embolism
