Stopped in on a whim...on Valentine's Day afternoon. Was great from start to finish. Terrific waitress gave us suggestions that were spot on. 5 oz beer flight for $9...unheard of! Food was presented nicely, tasted phenomenal. Hate to give this place 5 stars and drive...more people there, but gotta do it.More

This beer dinner had four great pairings. The beers went really well with food they were paired up with. First on the menu was a Corned beef and cabbage roll with a spicy mustard dip paired with Great Lakes Elliot Ness. The roll was fried...to perfection. It was crispy and very light. The ratio of corned beef to cabbage in the roll was just right with a great flavor. The Elliot Ness paired with this nicely. It has a very crispy flavor and an excellent amber color. I felt that the malt flavors with the slight hops brought out the the great taste of the rolls. Steak & Stout Sheppard’s Pie paired with Great Lakes Conway’s Irish Red Steak/Mashed Potatoes/Carrots/ GL Edmund Fitz Porter This was another great combo. The flavors of the Sheppard's Pie were amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly, it basically melted in your mouth with the mashed potatoes. Conway's Irish Red was an excellent choice to go with this meal. Its a malty beer with a slight toasty flavor. It also has a little bit of a fruit and hops scent to it. Jameson Glazed Salmon paired with Great Lakes Chillwave Salmon/Sweet Whiskey Glaze This was very delicious and perfectly cooked salmon filet that easily broke apart with a touch of the fork. The Jameson glaze went excellent with the salmon and also great with the double IPA Chillwave. The flavors of citrus and hops was an excellent way to bring out the taste of the Jameson glazed salmon. This was the best out of the three so far. Irish Chocolate Bomb paired with Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Chocolate & White Chocolate Mousse/ Shot of House-Made Caramel Sauce I am not sure what to write about this dessert and its pairing with the delicious Edmund Fitzgerald. The combo of these two just exploded the pallet!!! The chocolate-coffee taste and a bold hop presence of the Edmund Fitzgerald heightened the taste of the insanely delicious chocolate/white chocolate mousse. This dessert was awesome and I can only hope this will be added to their daily menu. Overall it was an excellent time hosted by the wonderful owners of GAH and Great Lakes Brewery.More

If you are looking for a fun selection of Burgers and Beers this is a great place for both. Beers are typically priced (on the high end as usual) and the burgers are delicious. Be prepared to wait for a table during the weekend dinner...rush but you can sit right away during off hours/days. Try the Grilled Cheese Burger and don't worry about the calories because it is worth it (two grilled cheeses with a burger patty between them).More

We stopped in one evening during the week, for my son’s bday. There were like 2 other tables there. We should have known something was up when a table got up and left right as we were coming in, grumbling. Our server brought our drinks...and took our order…and that was it for over an hour. Not once did she stop in on us to see if we needed drinks let alone tell us what the hold up was. Another table got up and left, having never gotten their food. I finally flagged down another server and asked her what was going on. She explained to me that they got hit with a lot of to go orders but she would check on our food and let our server know. Our server came out and let us know our food would be out soon, we told her just to box it up cause it was late. An hour and a half later we finally walked out with our food in boxes, not getting a single apology or offering to comp anything…just with the explanation that the to go orders were more important than us. The food was not great by the time we got it home, not sure if that’s cause we just took it to go or not. Never ever going back.More

We have always enjoyed this place but service is going downhill. Last Saturday evening, my husband and I went for a late dinner with another couple. The place was busy and we had a small wait. I ordered red wine - note to self....don't order...wine at an ale house, you will be disappointed - got it. My husband and friend ordered burgers done medium. When they came out they were definitely well done. Each had a couple bites and couldn't eat anymore so they finally got our server and sent them back. Here is where things get interesting... Instead of apologizing and remaking the burgers she said...pay close attention - well how much did you eat. Seriously? No apology, just how much did you eat. We were close to walking out right there, but my food was great as was our other friend's. When the burgers came back out they were perfectly cooked and delicious. Now, as we were wrapping up the meal, our server became nice again, which was disingenuous since tip time was around the corner. Our friends took care of the tip after splitting the bill. They left more than we should have for our experience, but not the 20-25% we usually leave. She had the nerve to come back and inquire who didn't leave a tip. Seriously? No manager ever came by and unfortunately, service killed our likelihood to ever return. Diner be ware!!More

I visited the restaurant today with friends from work. I had the shrimp Po Boy sandwich with the sweet potato fries. The sandwich was okay, way to much mustard. I mean, it was oozing out everywhere from my sandwich. I only gave this place 2...stars because the sweet potato fries were decent. The bad review has to do with a waiter that helped us. After everyone was done, he came around to collect our signed receipts. We continued to sit and chat and then about 5 minutes later, the waiter came back over. He asked for me by name and I raised my hand. He then must have been eavesdropping because he asked if we were teachers, yes we are. Then he proceeded to ask me if I taught math. He then tells me that I did not add up my tip right and he needed me to fix it. The way the waiter handled his was terrible. Yeah, maybe he was trying to be funny but not cool. Thanks for embarrassing me in front of my work friends. I will never go back to this restaurant because this guy was such a jerk.More

We are frequent visitors with and without our children and love coming here to sample many different beers and to eat really great food. Their burgers and the Cuban sandwich can't be beat while the fried dill pickles appetizer with scratch-made sauce is tasty every...time.More

Three of us had excellent beers and first rate sandwiches (cheese burger, chorizo burger and pulled pork). Beautiful fresh curds and potato chips made a great little appetisers. We had really terrific, friendly service too. We all agreed it was a brilliant little lunch spot.

I called ahead since we had a party of 10, and while they don’t take reservations, they were very friendly about putting us on a wait list. We had an early dinner (5:00) and didn’t really need the wait list, but it definitely picked up...by the time we left around 6:30. The food came out quickly and everything we ordered was really good. My mom and I shared the Brie grilled cheese and the BLT along with house made potato chips and sweet potato fries. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with fried onion stings. The sides are very generous portions and are all really good. We were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday and they brought out a very nice dessert for her. The waitress was awesome. The beer selection was very good. Atmosphere was great. We would definitely go back.More

Hadn't been here in a while. Although past visits were average, this visit was excellent. Had a great beer selection which included an outstanding Lagunitas Willet Barrel Aged Imperial Stout which we don't see on tap very often. The Southwest Chicken Salad was loaded with...charbroiled chicken and a tasty jalapeno vinaigrette dressing. The burgers and sandwiches are huge and everyone in our group was very please. Also, had a very good server...wish I could remember his name. It is a small place, but we've never had to wait long for a table. We will back again soon.More

We came here for a late dinner and hopefully we found this place because any other restaurant was closed! We were lucky because everything was good, in particular the mini burgers!

We stopped in for a bite on our way through the town. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor of an old movie theater. We were greeted as soon as we came inside and told we could sit anywhere we liked. We chose a...table in the front window to enjoy the warm sunlight on a chilly day. The beer menu included 12 craft brews on tap as well as an extensive array of bottled beer. We tried the fried pickles and they were quite tasty, though we would have liked to see a few more on the plate. I had the Cubano sandwich which was not quite the traditional Cubano, but very good nonetheless. My wife had the Black Forest Turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries and was very happy with her selection. Our server was very friendly and attentive, making our visit a pleasant one. All in all, I would recommend the Geneva Ale House and definitely stop in again when in the area.More

Had the chance to try both of these restaurants again back-to-back. Food here was good but served inconsistently. A variety of drinks including beers and martini were all fine and the selection wins over Stockholms. Appetizer (fried pickles and onion rings) arrived after a long...wait just moments before main course. Main course for party of four was a mix of Sandwich's Cuban and Rueben, Burger, and Barimundi entry. Burger ordered medium well was med rare. Overall not bad but not great. Stockholm's across the street is smaller and a little less comfortable but wins hands down in food quality and service. I'd try this again but would choose Stockholms 4 out 5 times.More

My wife and I went here for lunch and enjoyed the expansive beer selection. When it came time for food however we were a bit disappointed when we selected a grass fed beef hamburger Cooke medium rare and it came out well done. We were...so hungry that we still ate it but let the service staff know. We didn't ask for our money back or anything to be done, but they were kind enough and gave us a free beer.More
