Not every short was stellar but there was more good than bad.
A few stand outs were The last laugh, Whispers, the magician one, playing dead, and pillow fright were all excellent.
7 killer pillows outta 10
Most of these are pretty awful. A lot of them seem like student films. A couple good ones, but it's not worth watching the whole thing.
Decent collection of horror shorts on par with the first volume. My two favorites were Pinned and Perfect. A couple others were alright and a couple were garbage but it was fun.
felt like sitting through the day of class where everyone has to show their little video projects and you just want to go to the bathroom to play on your phone pretty much the whole time you’re there
Not as good or entertaining as the first one, whose charm heavily relied on the format of ultra short segments. Vol. 2 is more of a series of short films with no wraparound segment. The pace feels sluggish at times (in fact, the shorts aren't as long as they felt to me), but there are definitely fun moments.
"kill them mommy" and "playing dead" stood out as the most enjoyable for me. "conventional" (directed by & starring karen gillan) was really disturbing but also pretty good.
The rest were mostly fine/ok, not spectacular but i didn't hate it either. Except for the one with the rats, which I didn't watch tbh.
professional in appearance, but few of these shorts have any bite or lasting impact.
Some good shorts, some bad shorts. Overall, definitely worth a watch if nothing else is on
i was far too harsh when i gave this a 1.5 last year. it's not great, but it's generally watchable, and a few of the shorts are fun. none of them are great or memorable, but the animated & pillow fight segments are entertaining, and all of them have a base level of quality.
Anyhology collection. Some good some not so good. I liked the film but it's a one and done for me.
