UC Berkeley is a prestigious institution that has a lot to offer in academics and extracurriculars. To me, the people are what make the experience so great, and fortunately, with such a large class, there is a myriad of people and groups to be affiliated with which illustrates the diversity at Berkeley. Some things can be frustrating sometimes such as applying for classes, finding resources, and having intrapersonal interactions with professors and classmates due to Berkeley being such a large institution. Additionally, there are other inconveniences such as the lack of housing for students which in my opinion, needs to start being a priority for the administration. Overall, UC Berkeley has a lot to offer and it is truly what you make of it. As someone who is heavily involved in varsity athletics, extracurriculars, leadership positions, and paraprofessional organizations, I am proud to call UC Berkeley home for me and I carry that with pride and class. Go Bears!
As a freshman at UC Berkeley, my experience has been incredibly enriching. The academic excellence here is unparalleled, with top-notch professors and a stimulating learning environment. The diverse and inclusive community has been a highlight, allowing me to connect with peers from all backgrounds. The campus itself is beautiful, and its location in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area offers endless cultural and recreational opportunities.
However, there are areas that could improve. The high cost of living in the Bay Area makes finding affordable housing challenging. Additionally, some of my introductory classes are quite large, which can be overwhelming and makes it harder to get personalized attention. Navigating administrative processes can be frustrating at times due to inefficiencies. Overall, UC Berkeley is an amazing place to study and grow, but addressing these issues would enhance the experience even more.

UC Berkeley is a campus that provides its students with an inexplicable amount of opportunities. These opportunities extend beyond the academic sense but range across the work force, student life, resources, and more. I am very grateful to be able to attend such a university!
