Mediterranean
Zou Zou’s is a lively and modern Eastern Mediterranean restaurant from chef Juliana Latif, who spent years working at some of the most notable restaurants throughout New York City, including The NoMad. The menu is inspired by and celebrating the cuisine and flavors of the Eastern Mediterranean region, bringing in influences from Lebanon, Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, among others.

Zou Zou’s is located within the Manhattan West Plaza, on the ground level of Pendry Manhattan West. If arriving at 33rd Street (between 9th & 10th), follow the walkway to the plaza, turn left, and find the Zou Zou’s entrance on your left.

If arriving at the Ninth Avenue entrance (at 32nd Street), walk through the plaza towards Whole Foods – Zou Zou’s will be on the right side of the plaza just past the NHL Experience Store.

Everyone in our party loved the food, drink and ambiance. I give the restaurant top ratings, but you must come prepared for a high noise level.

Service was not good, during our stay two different servers left plates break on the floor.

I came here with my girlfriend who has never been to the United States ..we never got a chance to eat. We had reservations and was seated immediately. The place Was not crowded but it took awhile to get our drinks… in fact it Took so long that the waitress said they were on the house.. all well and good… the appetizer came Immediately but then the main dishes never came despite me asking the waitress why it is taking so long on at Least 3 occasions. After 55 minutes since we sat down they brought over only half of our main dishes.. not knowing when my girlfriends dish is coming.. this was unacceptable.. the waitress asked us if we spoke to the manager whom she requested come over to see us. Anyway I left without paying anything… They wasted my time and ruined the evening.

Food so-so, service so-so, lots of mistakes/lack of attention to details (steak overcooked -- had to send it back -- received wrong food, table wasn't cleared in a timely way after finished eating).

We made 5:45pm reservations on a Friday. When we arrived the indoor dining area was relatively empty. We were seated at a table for 2 right next to a brick pillar. The pillar was so close to the table that I couldn’t comfortably move my arm to enjoy dinner. It took a little time to find someone to ask if we could move. We were moved 2 tables down from our original table. The minute I rested my arms on this table it flew back at me. The wobble of the table top was so extreme that one of the workers noticed and had another worker come and physically remove the table. We then moved to a second table. We had made early reservations hoping we could get a nice table with lovely ambiance. But we were stuck in a back corner behind the bar in a row of 2 tops and had to switch tables twice. It was disappointing considering the amount you’re paying. We started with the 5 dip appetizer. The dips were good, not great. The cost versus the value of what you get is simply New York pricing. Midway through eating the dips I had already finished my tap water, and ended up refilling my own glass of water from a bottled water I had brought from the train ride up. For entrees we ordered the Crystal Valley chicken and the Moroccan Fried Chicken. The Crystal Valley chicken was underwhelming, and tasted like Sunday cookout on the grill chicken. It came with a side of onion petals with buttermilk inside them. Unique, but, not great. The Moroccan Fried Chicken was very crispy, that’s mainly what I can say about that dish. We had a side of what I can only imagine was propane torched Brussels sprouts and a baked sweet potato with a slab of butter in the center and everything bagel seasoning on top. We had one cocktail and our bill was $168 with tax, excluding tip. The ambiance was mediocre when stuffed in the back corner, and the food was mediocre for the price. But it’s a Midtown New York restaurant. So. There’s that.

Rude host when you enter, other than that fine. Large portions, surprisingly dark inside during lunch hour

The food (Moroccan fried chicken, beef dumpling and fattoush salad) was mediocre (salad) to bad (dumplings and fried chicken). The chicken was horribly dry.
