Reviews
- Edited 6 years agoFar and away JT's best album, with some of his most inspired and unique songwriting and vocal arrangements. Short songs, some just sketches, fire away and alternate between funky rock and traditional influences. Nevertheless, a consistent feel throughout and the songs blending into each other makes it feel like a singular work. Not a bad song on it.
- The guitar solo on Someone is most definitely played by John McLaughlin of Miles Davis/Mahavishnu Orchestra/Shakti fame. What a trip! JT and McLaughlin together on a record. Who knew?
- I'm happy to be the first one to write a review of this album here from Porto Alegre(POA), Brazil.
It's simply a masterpiece. Some of the best music ever done in history! since Haendel(Aquatic simphony), Bach, Beatles,etc...Just hear: Chilly dog, Woh!Don't you know, Fool for you, and pay attention to the band playing together J.Taylor's music...
J.Taylor came to play in Brazil and played her in POA. And on a sunday morning, before he leaves I went to have breakfast in the hotel they were, and spoke some words with him. I don't know if he remembers, but he told me : Send it along ( a cassete), and wrote the adress in a paper(the documents of the car)...
