While many people on the outside view Bishop Dwenger High School as "prestigious", it has created some of the my favorite memories and shaped me to the person who I am today! Since the beginning of my intimidating freshman year to now as a senior, I've always felt welcomed and safe. I was never bullied and made friends that I could be completely myself around. BDHS only had around 1,000 students but this allowed for an environment in which I could connect with my teachers and ask question when I was confused. The only part I would want to change is to make BDHS more open to hearing the student's voices. Sometime the strict rules and regulations would block out our voices calling for change. However, I was always encouraged at BDHS to put forth my best and I've done so ever since. I'm extremely grateful I'm able to be apart of the BDHS family and have learned so many leadership qualities from it!
Having the opportunity to go to Bishop Dwenger is a blessing. Throughout my four years of being there I have been surrounded by love, support, and most importantly faith! One thing I would love to see Bishop Dwenger do in the future is getting the students opinions on decisions that will effect the school and student life there.
My four years at Bishop Dwenger High School have been generally positive. The highlight of my experience is the strong sense of community that prevails within the school. We function as a close-knit family, with teachers and guidance counselors genuinely caring about the students and their success. They are dedicated to ensuring that we grasp the material and thrive academically.
Despite these positive aspects, one area that could be improved is the lack of diversity within Bishop Dwenger. This is an aspect that, in my opinion, could contribute to a more enriching and inclusive educational environment.
Overall, I believe that my time at Bishop Dwenger has prepared me well for the next steps in my life. The school has not only imparted academic knowledge but has also instilled in me values of love and respect that I will carry with me throughout my lifetime.
