We have stayed at the Stephanie Inn annually since our honeymoon 15 years ago. Still the best place on the Ore. Coast for a romantic getaway. Expensive but well worth it 😀3rd floor rooms have the big outside decks.... Our favorite. Beds are tempurpedic. Rather firm if you're not used to that. Just ask for feather pillows that will help. Breakfast is always a treat, something for everyone . We enjoy dinner in various places in town. Wayfarer is great! A day drive to Astoria/ Long Beach area is interesting if you're not from the Pacific N W. Once when staying here the power went out from stormy weather. They even had generators so guests could have hot water. Our experience has always been that whatever they can do to make your stay great they will do. If you value and appreciate quality you'll become a regular at the Stephanie!

I've had the fortunate blessing to stay at the Stephanie Inn a half dozen times. Every time is "The Best"! This small boutique hotel does everything right.
From the moment you arrive and they warmly greet you with warm cookies, hot chocolate and/or coffee, you know it will be an amazing time. This hotel is 5 Star and if you want a Romantic setting on the Oregon coast it simply does not get any better.
The rooms are fairly spacious, immaculate and aesthetically speaking exhudes a Luxury mountain/ocean lodge motif that is second to none. If you want the whole experience get an Ocean view room. Top floor is the best!
There are so many things included in your stay, and I love this stuff! They always have fresh cookies available. Bowls are filled with Salt water taffy throughout the hotel. The best organic locally roasted coffee is offered all day. In the afternoon they have a wine and cheese reception in their Library that looks out onto the beach. It is a lovely afternoon treat! In the evening they offer in the Library some chocolates and cordials. In the morning they present an amazing Buffet for breakfast that will satisfy even the most distinguished palates. This is all included! Other than a walk on the beach, or maybe in to town, you truly don't want to leave the hotel.
Eating dinner at the Stephanie Inn is a must at least once during your stay. It is expensive, but the five course meal is superb and worth it.
This Hotel does not miss a detail. Their staff are experts in making you feel well taken care of. Expect to love this place. Expect to have an amazing time with your better half and expect to gain about three to five pounds because you will not stop eating and snacking all day long.
Enjoy!

I loved it here. I wanted to move in. It is expensive , but one if the nicest places I have ever stayed. The staff was friendly, not remotely pretentious given the luxury if the Inn.
I recommend the second floor. I was in room 205 or 207 and it was close to the restaurant with a fabulous view. Absolutely no noise from neighbors or the restaurant.
The staff thinks of everything. From a lantern in the room for late night walks on the beach, to bottles of water when you leave without asking , this place is very special. I arrived late for the afternoon social hour but they immediately offered me a glass of wine since I missed it.
I really recommend the restaurant for dinner. And since you have already spent a lot for the room, spend a lot and get the prix fix dinner with wine pairings. I'm a picky eater and don't like duck but I tried it and almost could eat it. The dessert sounded like something I wouldn't like but if is the chocolate pie with cherry don't even hesitate. I won't spoil the surprise.
In short this was a real treat, worth every single penny, and I'm retired on a limited budget. Just go. You will not regret nor will you forget it.

My husband and I spent a week at the Inn last week of September. We had an oceanfront dormer room on the 3rd floor and by far the best feature were the views of the expansive beach and the ocean. From our balcony with screened doors, we could enjoy the views and breezes but could keep out any bugs. The balcony had a lounger plus chairs so we spent quite a bit of time outside. The service was very friendly. As others pointed out, the mini-refrigerator had complimentary sodas and water and there was a coffee maker plus microwave. The buffet breakfast had hot and cold food and was quite adequate. The afternoon complimentary wine tasting was a nice touch.
Our room had a wonderfully comfortable bed plus a gas fireplace for chilly evenings. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub plus shower.
If I had to offer some suggestions, it would be the following:
1. Simpler decor---The decor of our room was a bit busy and old, not very beachy---chenille couch and lounger but in different patterns, floral pattern chairs and mustard yellow painted walls, wall to wall carpeting.
2. Cotton sheets instead of microfiber.
3. Feather pillows instead of foam, though we did ask and were kindly given 2 feather pillows
I would definitely recommend The Stephanie Inn, as you really can't beat the location and the views from the rooms.

This was my second time staying at the Stephanie Inn, and it was just as magical as I had remembered. The inn is just beautiful and its location on the beach could not be better. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel staff provides excellent service and the breakfasts are delicious. I highly recommend getting an ocean front room -- you can't beat the view. I was very sad to leave and will definitely be back.

3 wonderful days at this beautiful place! From arrival to departure, the staff treated us as if we were their only guests..amazing service. Our ground floor room looked out at the incredible beach and Haystack rock and the room had an attached patio with table and comfortable wicker armchairs. There is a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge in a tiny kitchen area. The room was a good size with desk area, sofa, fireplace etc. and the large bathroom included a large jacuzzi tub. The toilet is behind a closed door in a little closet separate area, like Europe. The sheets were the softest we had ever slept on,and linen was changed daily. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of choices..and the excellent chef makes incredible dinners. Husband had an amazing rack of lamb,I had filet mignon done exactly as requested. Even the tomato caprese salad was rave worthy and the desserts...wow! We went to a free class with chef on olive oils..8 of us got to sample many interesting varieties and hear anecdotes about places the chef had cooked with well known folks. Complimentary wine daily at 4 in the library with fabulous finger foods and fun chats with other guests, complimentary nite cap of brandies etc in the library, free fresh scones, muffins, cookies and coffee ALL day at the front desk....heaven! The fresh baked cookies alone are worth the trip! We will definitely make this a yearly trip. Pricey ...room and dinner( breakfast is included) but well worth it. They have spa services and the use of town exercise club, which we did not have time to utilize. It's a great beach walk into shopping part of town and eateries, and Inn also offers shuttle service there. Love this place!!

We were staying with friends in Portland who recommended a visit to Cannon Beach and the Stephanie Inn. We could not have been more pleased with our experience at this beautiful hotel. Having lived in New England, the property reminded me of the stately inns and homes on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. We had a first floor room with a patio where the view of the beach was spectacular. The service was exceptional, and the breakfast in the dining room was first class. My favorites were eggs benedict and the scones that were readily available. I loved the robe that the hotel provided so much that I purchased one to take home.

We spent three nights at the Stephanie Inn in a second floor oceanfront room. Our stay was nothing short of fabulous! First, the view of the beach and the beach itself are stellar. It is all sandy, but so easy to walk on. We slept with the sliding door open a bit every night so that we could hear the sound of the ocean. The balcony was small, but just right for two people to sit on. It is covered, which gives it a bit of a sheltered feel. The gas fireplace made it cozy since we had some cool days. Our room was beautiful and housekeeping did an excellent job -- there was never anything that was missed. We especially enjoyed our bellhops, John and Jeff, who also served us by pouring at the wine hour and port hour. It is such a wonderful treat before and after dinner to have those drinks available, and the library room where they are served has quite a view out the windows. We received lovely service from Sydney at the front desk when we checked in. And we had an excellent wine/food pairing session with Dan, the sommelier. The inn offers sessions you can sign up for to learn more about food and wine -- one day they had one where you could learn about making vinaigrettes, which we did not attend. But if you have the opportunity during your stay, I would recommend choosing one of their sessions. The dining room staff was very attentive -- we were greeted by Jesus's smiling face more than once. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delish! Some people have mentioned in reviews their disappointment that the dining room did not face out to the ocean, but we thought the dining room was very lovely. I am sure that the inn was built to maximize the number of rooms that could face the water -- I would much rather enjoy the view from my balcony than from the dining room. And room service is a great way to go if you arrive after many hours of traveling like we did and just want to sit in your room to eat quietly and look out to the ocean. I could go on and on about this place -- and Cannon Beach is a charming town, so one could really be happy spending time there. We have stayed at many fine inns and B&Bs in a number of different states, and Stephanie Inn ranks at the top.

Yes. I was just there. It’s plated instead of a buffet.
The Oregon coast can be fantastic in May and I would suggest enjoying the Inn and if it turns cold sit at the ocean front windows and have a hot tea, hot toddy or a large brandy.
My recommendation is to call and ask them. I was not aware of any policy about children, but it definitely is marketed for romantic getaways. I have also stayed at The Ocean Lodge and it is quite nice.
Yes, I believe all rooms have hair dryers.
