American Joel Murray (183-PG, agency: Slash Sports) had a great game in the last round for Mandurah Magic and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 14.
The playmaker got a double-double of 32 points and 11 assists, while his team crushed Perry Lakes H. (#7, 3-4) with 16-point margin 110-94. Magic maintains the 6th position in their group in the Australian NBL One. Mandurah is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Murray had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Magic, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Long Beach State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Murray is in league's top in points (3rd best: 28.7ppg), assists (3rd best: 8.5apg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 55.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Joshua Davey (198-F-2000) of Lakeside Lightning. Davey impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Lightning cruised to a 92-83 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked SW Slammers (#14, 1-6). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. Lakeside L. dropped in the standings to 13th position. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Lightning managed to get this year. Davey is a newcomer at Lakeside L. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was James O'Donnell (180-PG-2005) of BA Centre of Excellence (#13). O'Donnell scored 24 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). Despite O'Donnell's great performance the Excellence lost 80-85 to the higher-ranked Cent.Coast C. (#9, 3-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. BA CoE can only dream about fighting for top spots in East. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. O'Donnell has a very solid season. In 4 games in Australia he scored 17.0ppg.

4. Alex Higgins-Titsha (197-F-2000) of Inner WB - 21 points and 17 rebounds

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
