Barbara Anne Hesse
<p>Barbara Anne Hesse, 64, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at MidState Hospice after a brief illness. </p><p><br></p><p>Born in Meriden, CT on November 21, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Eileen Dyrek. She was a lifelong Meriden resident and graduated from Maloney High School. She was employed by Bradley Airport Post Office. Barbara served with the U.S. Air Force. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish. </p><p><br></p><p>Barbara loved animals, especially her beloved Pomeranians, Bailey, Timmy, Katie, Hopie, Gracie and Stasu. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Hesse and Heather Thomas and her husband Joe Thomas and her three grandchildren, Vivian Thomas, Olivia Thomas, and Sophia Thomas. She is also survived by her sister Theresa Dyrek, her two brothers, Joseph Dyrek and his wife Cindy Dyrek and Thomas Dyrek, her niece, Kaitlyn Dyrek and her two nephews, Patrick, and Kevin Dyrek. </p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 :30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, Mt. Carmel Campus.
