- Lee Ka-yi and Wong Chi-him are beaten in mixed doubles semi-final, as is Henry Leung in men's singles, with bronzes their reward
- Chan Sin-yuk will play for gold after winning all-Hong Kong women's singles semi-final against Tomato Ho, who takes another bronze
Hong Kong won three bronze medals in squash at the Asian Games, with the promise of more to come after Wednesday's semi-finals.
In an all-Hong Kong clash in the women's singles, Chan Sin-yuk bested teammate Tomato Ho Tze-lok 11-4, 11-5, 11-8 to progress to the final on Thursday, in which she and Malaysia's Subramaniam Sivasangari will fight over gold and silver.
Sivasangari is already a gold medallist in the women's team event, but Chan will have an opportunity to put Hong Kong on the top step of the podium for an eighth time in Hangzhou.

Defeat in the Hong Kong derby left Ho with a bronze to add to the one the city collected in the mixed doubles earlier on Wednesday.
Lee Ka-yi and Wong Chi-him faced Indian pair Dipika Pallikal and Harinder Pal Sandhu as they looked to improve on the silver and bronze they had won respectively with the Hong Kong women's and men's teams in Hangzhou.
It was a gripping 39-minute battle that ebbed and flowed. Hong Kong took the first game 11-7, before India bounced back to level with the same score. The two teams were level at 9-9 in the decider, having traded points throughout, until Pallikal and Sandhu finally pulled clear to take it 11-9 and clinch their place in the final.
Hong Kong's Henry Leung Chi-hin also had a guaranteed medal in the men's singles, but his semi-final against another Indian player, Saurav Ghosal, was a far more straightforward affair.
Ghosal dominated Leung from the off, and got the job done in 32 minutes as he progressed to the gold-medal match with a 11-2, 11-1, 11-6 victory.
Leung joined Ho, along with Lee and Wong, in consoling himself with the bronze.
Hong Kong moved up to 49 medals overall - seven gold, 15 silver and 27 bronze - three more overall than the previous record total the team managed in Jakarta in 2018.
