Had a horrible experience on 1/12 Friday afternoon with the hostess. Had a reservation that the restaurant took for me via phone call earlier in the day for 4:45pm in the bar area for Happy Hour. Was told that it should be no problem by the lady that took my reservation. When we checked in with hostess, named Brie, was told that she would not honor our reservation since Salmon Daves doesn't "take" Happy Hour reservations and the bar area was already full. I was told it is first come first served and the wait would be more than 40 minutes. She never said she was sorry nor apologized for the mixup on their end and actually told me that she didn't believe my story since she couldn't confirm it even though the reservation was in her book. She said the lady that I talked to earlier must be new at corporate and not know how to take a reservation. All very hostile. I asked if she could perhaps make up for the mixup and seat us at a nearby table to the bar and offer us happy hour since the mistake was on their end and the restaurant at that time was mostly empty. She then proceeded to rudely lecture me that if she did that she would have to do it for everyone. Horrible customer service. I couldn't believe that a hostess at a high end restaurant would be so inhospitable, rude and imply I was lying. Just awful.

Not the same great food as before. Clams Casino was over spiced. Crab cake was more cake than crab, and burnt. No impressed. Didn’t live up to the reputation.

Me and my husband want to eat and he ordered the lobster sandwich which was horrible. Our waitress never came and checked on us or asked if everything was OK. Even when she took her plate, she never said a word we paid and left won’t be back again.

My wife and I enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at Salmon Dave’s. We heard the lobster bisque was to die for and it did not disappoint! Chunks of lobster in the bisque were perfect! My wife and I split the excellent crab cakes along with a recommended bottle of white wine. We finished the dinner with excellent dessert. Bravo Salmon Dave’s!

We used to go to Salmon Dave's frequently and always enjoyed the happy hour menu. The restaurant has just opened after a remodel, and we were disappointed with the portion size of the happy hour menu. We had the delicious lobster risotto and the mussels. The mussels were in a good sauce but were very small about the size of a dime or nickel. The risotto serving was a third to half of the original serving.
Frankly, we will not return.

It's been about 3 months since I've been to Salmon Dave's, came in today to order from there happy hour menu which is online as of today.
Was looking to order the Kung pow shrimp and brussel sprouts as I have in the past, Once I arrived I was told that was an old menu. But it's still online as of 1-30-23.. I wasn't able to order what I wanted. So I spoke to my bartender Wes, and I asked how the lobster sandwich was.. his reply was good. Unfortunately it wasn't good, I was asked if I wanted to send it back for something else, which I said no too ,,but now I wish I would have. It was somewhat bland and if it wasn't for the scent of seafood I wouldn't even know I was eating lobster because of the breading. I think you need to change your menu because we came in there for specific items we wanted to order and then told it was an old menu but still as of today it's on there happy hour menu online as of 1-30-23.
Needless to say I was very disappointed in the lobster sandwich, also the fact it was served with potato chips was not very appealing, corn on the cob mashed,potatoes or soup would have been more of a choice than potato chips. Kind of a cheap pairing for a $26 sandwich.
I hope my next experience there is better.

Exceptional evening out with great food and outstanding service. I enjoyed the pan roasted salmon cooked perfectly with lobster risotto (which did get a little rich) and my husband had the simply prepared swordfish. portions were ample and service was prompt and very friendly. Stars of the meal for me was the velvety lobster bisque with a little kick and the silky key lime pie with just the right tang.

Our group was very disappointed in our dinners. After we left the restaurant we realized that the only one who enjoyed their dinner had the chicken marsala. The lobster was of poor quality and so was the filet. The service was good.

My wife and love this place. We drive 25 miles to get here. It's usually quiet, romantic, and the fresh food is fabulous.

We came here for our anniversary dinner. We ordered the pan seared salmon and Chilean Sea Bass dinners. Both were delicious! Our server brought out a creme brulee with a candle for our anniversary which surprised us! Nice touch!

Shrimp cocktail was sooo good. Fresh, cold and cocktail sauce was zesty and superbly made. I had the apple cinnamon bread pudding was to die for. I would like to recommend that it would be nice if restrooms were accessible for handicapped. The restrooms are in the basement.

The best is the salmon salad, my sister and I always order it. When the waitress said "How was it?", I just said look, both of our plates cleaned. Excellent, every time.
If it is busy it can get really noisy.

The freshest seafood, coupled with excellent preparation and knowledgeable staff make this restaurant a must. Wide range of fresh seafood dishes and a good wine list await you. Gets crowded, so get there early, especially on Friday nights.

We had dinner with our friends here, our waitress Sara, greeted us promptly after we were seated. The atmosphere was inviting and too noisy so you could carry on a conversation. They had a seasonal special menu, for appetizer we had the Lobster bisque soup, I had the New Bedford scallops, June had lobster. For dessert I had Key Lime pie, June enjoyed the chocolate torte. Sara and the staff we very attentive, dishes cleared in a timely manner, drink reorders were served promptly and the coffee was hot and very good. Glad we came and look forward to our dining experience. Ed and June P.
