When William Durkee was born on 15 March 1634, in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland, his father, William O’Durkin, was 29 and his mother, Lady Lady Sarah Elizabeth Durkee born Lady Batham, was 24. He married Martha Cross on 20 December 1664, in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 6 daughters. He lived in New Hampshire, British Colonial America in 1684. He died on 29 January 1704, in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Old South Cemetery, Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts, United States.
