'Faltering start'

A round-up of the headlines from the UK front pages

Rishi Sunak made a "faltering start" to his general election campaign says the Financial Times, while Metro describes day one as a "bumpy take-off". The uncomfortable headlines come after he admitted there would be no migrant flights to Rwanda before polling day.

But the Telegraph says Sunak has claimed that Keir Starmer "doesn't have the courage to debate me" as he challenged the Labour leader to a record six televised debates. The Daily Express claims Labour fear Starmer would "sabotage his prospects" in debates.
