You all know the story of Superman, now it’s time to hear the story of Superman’s dog, in DC League of Super-Pets, opening in theaters this weekend.
Based on the DC Comics superhero team, the Legion of Super-Pets, this new animated movie for children brings some much-needed levity to the DC Extended Universe. Dwayne Johnson—who will also be joining the DCEU as Black Adam this year—stars as the voice of Superman’s trusty dog Krypto. When the Justice League is captured by Lulu and Lex Luthor, it’s up to Krypto and his team of super-powered shelter animals to save the day.
Also featuring the voices of Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna, Thomas Middleditch, Ben Schwartz, and Keanu Reeves, it’s sure to be super-fun for the whole family. WHERE TO WATCH THE DC LEAGUE OF SUPER PETS MOVIE:
Right now, the only place to watch DC League of Super-Pets is in a movie theater when it opens in the U.S. on Friday, July 29. You can find a showing at a movie theater near you via Fandango. WILL DC LEAGUE OF SUPER PETS BE STREAMING ON HBO MAX?
Yes, eventually—but the DC League of Super-Pets movie will not be on HBO Max at the same time it opens in theaters, because HBO Max is not streaming theatrical movies in 2022. Last year, Warner Bros. opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.
WHEN WILL DC LEAGUE OF SUPER PETS BE STREAMING ON HBO MAX?
DC League of Super-Pets should be on HBO Max on Monday, September 12, 2022, aka 45 days after the movie opened in theaters on July 29. This would follow the same release pattern as The Batman and Fantastic Beasts, which both came to HBO Max exactly 45 days after opening in theaters.
WILL DC LEAGUE OF SUPER PETS BE ON DIGITAL OR VOD?
Yes. After the movie’s theatrical run, DC League of Super-Pets will also be available to buy or rent on digital platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, Vudu, Google Play, and more, in addition to streaming on HBO Max.
IS THE DC LEAGUE OF SUPER PETS MOVIE ON NETFLIX?
No. DC League of Super-Pets is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film will have a streaming home on HBO Max. If you want to watch the new DC League of Super-Pets movie at home, you’ll have to watch it on HBO Max or purchase the movie on VOD in September.
