Robert L. Ickes

On Nov. 17, 1956, he married Nancy E. Wilt.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Becky S. Ickes of Altoona; a son, Randy J. Ickes (Beth) in Garland, Texas; grandchildren: Michael Wolf, Jamie Morris (David), Vanessa Moore, Brittany Logan and Alex Ickes; a brother, William E. Ickes; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, James L. Ickes; a daughter, Sharon K. Wolf; a granddaughter, Michele Wolf; and siblings, Shirley Wombacher and David R. Ickes.

Robert worked for PepsiCo as a plant foreman for 46 years. He was a member of Homers Gap Civic Association and he enjoyed hunting.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 408 N. Sixth Ave., Altoona, with Pastor Elizabeth Hess officiating. Inurnment will be made at Antis Cemetery, Pinecroft.
