Still good food but go off season

We have lived in the area for years but always go to Evo in the off season. This time it was April and although we had our reservation it was busy and noisy and we waited twenty minutes for our table. It was far too noisy to really talk, which was not pleasant.

Great Italian

We went with friends. We hadn’t been there in years, not for any particular reason. It’s a charming restaurant. I don’t remember our server’s name but she was excellent, friendly, professional and helpful. I usually go with my standards so I can do a fair comparison then change next time. I had a very good Caesar salad. The veal parmigiana with a side of pasta was excellent. My wife had salad and a fish special she enjoyed. The wine list is excellent. We were too full to have dessert.

The food is still delicious!

We had an eight o’clock reservation for a Friday night (Feb 23rd) and we had been to this restaurant on three prior occasions but never during the “season” here in Florida. I guess in hindsight we should have figured that it would have been so loud and far too crowded. We had to wait about 17 minutes for our table, which was annoying but not intolerable. We got the impression as did a few others we spoke to that the staff were totally overwhelmed. The food was still very good, so I cannot fault the restaurant on that. I tried the special of grilled octopus, which was delicious and the crème brûlée, as always, was creamy and my favorite. Our server Tiffany was very nice.

Excellent food, beautifully presented.

Extraordinary! Evo had been recommended to me for years, and we finally got there. We'll be back often. The food, service and setting were wonderful. We dined outside on a drizzly evening, but we were under cover and comfortable. (They had patio heaters available but they were not needed). The menu is great, the wine list solid (if a bit overpriced), and the service outstanding. Competent, quick, and noninvasive, the servers came and went as they should, and kept the evening flowing. The primary server, Michelle, was a delight, and saw to our every need. Evo is highly recommended! It's worth the travel.

Great dining experience

The food was best Italian I’ve had in Florida. Service was great and plenty of help for what ever. Friendly staff and very attentive. Food was very tasty and portions were large. Obviously they are using best of ingredients. Pricy but worth it

Confused

I was looking forward to Evo, I have never been there before. It is highly rated, so the expectations were high. Don’t get me wrong, we had a good dining experience. But when we left I couldn’t decide if I really liked it or if it was just average. Again, not bad to report. Maybe I need to give it a second try.

Good, but a bit overpriced

You know, I had never been there before. The service was fine and friendly. The food was very tasty. The layout inside seems somewhat dated, but not awful. I believe it is a decent place, but the prices seem a little high by comparison to other quality restaurants in the area.

Great Anniversary Spot

We really enjoyed our meals here! The pasta is excellent as is the lobster appetizer we had. I'd recommend this spot for special occasions as it's def pretty pricey.

Sign says Italian restaurant. No feeling of Italian anywhere. Is a comfortable place. VERY EXPENSIVE. Kinda ridiculous actually. Our server as well as her helper were impeccable. Since she almost gave me cavities just being near her. Two ordered the veal dish with vodka sauce. Server said no problem. Kitchen delivered with red sauce. Menu said veal. Was not that tender. I ordered a special. Ribeye. They serve me strip steak. It was cut up. It was prepared very good. I was a guest so I just ate it. I did tell the servers assistant as he was picking up dishes asking if anyone wanted a box. I left one piece of meat so someone could see it wasn’t ribeye. He asked me how I like it. I told him it was good, except I ordered ribeye and they served me strip. He just remarked he didn’t know how to answer that.

Waste of Time and Money

Food: Nothing remarkable and expensive. Atmosphere: Avant-garda, ceilings are painted black with a can of spray paint. Curtains hanging from the ceiling, providing no privacy, tables too close together. Music: Horrible new age. Wait Staff: Scattered and difficult to understand. Don’t bother mentioning that you are celebrating a special occasion because nothing will be done to recognize it.

We arrived as a party of 6 at 7:45 for an 8:00 p.m. reservation. We waited for 20 minutes to be seated at a table that was open and empty and set up the entire time we were standing around. Upon being seated we were given water and our drink order was taken. Only two got alcoholic drinks. After they received their drinks it was another 15 minutes before the waitress returned to take our order. The food, whether appetizers, main courses, pastas, meats or fish were all good. Nothing was outstanding. Overall a good dinner but not outstanding.

This may not only be the best Italian Restaurant in Palm Beach County, it could be among the top 5 best any kind of restaurants in Palm Beach County. The attention to detail in service, beauty of decoration, and preparation of food is unsurpassed.

Anniversary Dinner

Celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with friends we chose EVO for dinner and it was outstanding. Simon was our server and she was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent suggestions. We started with the Sicilian Stack, and Calamari Arrabiata. Both dishes were excellent and flavorful. Entrees were Sunday Gravy, Bucanti Carbonara and two specials, a Frutti De Mar and a double Bone in Pork Chop. Everyone enjoyed their selected dish. Definitely will come back. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options and create and outstanding atmosphere considering they are located in a strip mall. Make sure to make a reservation as they get quite busy.
