The Black Keys kicked off a three-night stand in London at the O2 Academy Brixton on Tuesday. The rockers welcomed guitarist Noel Gallagher of Oasis to help them open the encore with a pair of songs from their new album, Ohio Players.

The new LP arrived on April 5 via Nonesuch Records. Hailing from Akron, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney collaborated with several artists of note across the creation of Ohio Players — named after their fellow Buckeye State band from Dayton. Noel Gallagher co-wrote three songs on the record including “Only Love Matters” and “On the Game.”

Gallagher joined the Keys for both songs to kick off the encore in London on Tuesday beginning with “Only Love Matters.” The former Oasis guitarist and primary songwriter added rhythm guitar and joined Auerbach in harmony on the chorus. Noel played a similar role for “On the Game,” which saw Dan turn to his lap steel guitar.

The Black Keys kicked off the concert with “I Got Mine” from their 2008 album, Attack & Release. The band would also offer additional older favorites like “Gold on the Ceiling,” “Tighten Up,” “Howlin’ For You” and “Long Gone” alongside covers of Richard Berry’s “Have Love Will Travel” — which the Keys included on their 2003 record Thickfreakness — and Motown classic “I Heard It Through the Grapevine.”

The rockers delivered two additional Ohio Players cuts “This Is Nowhere” and lead single “Beautiful People (Stay High).” The main set came to a close with El Camino (2011) favorite “Little Black Submarines.” Following the Gallagher sit-in, The Black Keys capped the concert with El Camino’s “Lonely Boy.”
