Allison Moise Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 24, 2023.
Allison Bare Moise, 63, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away on November 23, 2023 from early onset Alzheimer's. She was born on November 5, 1960 in Knoxville, Tennessee, daughter of Billy Joe and Dareleen Bare. Allison grew up in North Wilkesboro, NC where she was a graduate of Wilkes Central High School and attended Wake Forest University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in 1983.

She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she worked for the Mecklenburg School System as a math teacher and assistant principal. During her tenure as an educator, she earned a Masters in Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. With a move to Tennessee in 1996, Allison retired from teaching to focus on raising her two daughters and performing charitable work through her church.

Allison loved teaching and serving others, both as a public school teacher, and as a volunteer with the Liberty Elementary School Partnership, Vacation Bible School, the Girl Scouts, and Meals on Wheels. She also loved sports, pulling for the Demon Deacons and the North Carolina Tar Heels and enjoyed playing tennis with her Franklin friends. Allison maintained a close connection to her 2B group of college friends from Wake Forest who lived in the same dorm while in school. She enjoyed staying in contact with them over the last 40 years through a quarterly newsletter and annual reunions.

Allison is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Dareleen Bare. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Christian Moise, and two daughters, Katherine Moise Simmons (Jesse) of Atlanta, GA and Anna Christian Moise of Nashville, TN and a granddaughter, Clara Jane Simmons. She is also survived by her brother Stephen Mark Bare (Sally) of Mt Pleasant, SC, her aunt and uncle Carolyn and Richard "Moe" Owens of West Jefferson, NC, her Aunt Sandra Bowers of Mouth of Wilson, VA, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life ceremony will be planned and held after the New Year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to Wake Forest University's Education Department (https://forms.secure.wfu.edu/giving) or the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

I first met Allison as a client and she quickly became a dear friend. We shared several common bonds such as both of us having daughters, being from the mountains, canning green beans and caring about one another´s families in times of joy and sadness. We laughed, prayed and cried together many times over the years and her steady positive attitude often grounded me at times when I needed it. Allison, you will forever be remembered by me and I thank God our paths crossed. To the family, please accept my love and condolences. I know her leaving has left a huge void but we will all meet again and I´m grateful for that assurance.

Braithwaite family

So sad to hear of Allison's passing. Gone too soon! Allison was my car pool buddy, tennis partner and part of a monthly coffee club when our kids were all little. She had such a giving heart of her time and talent. She will be missed by many. With fond memories from the Braithwaite family.

Allison was a dear friend and client of my Mom and I for 22 years. Anytime she came to see me she didn´t take a breath without asking how I was doing. She made sure I was okay all the time. She was my angel. More like family than ever. Her spirit, infectious smile, and care for others always showed first. She taught me how to cook over the years rumbling off recipes as I did her brows every 4 weeks. Her heart and entire soul was her beautiful girls. Her joy was doing things for others like Meals on Wheels but doing for her girls was what made her the happiest whether it was buying their Christmas Wishes or buying them groceries. She would talk about her travels with Chris and her College friends she would so look forward to visit with. I loved hearing the stories of her life. It made her the woman she will always be. My Allison in her white turtleneck full of nothing but full spirit. I will never forget her angelic hands... her tiny feet.... Her planner she never went without...She always had a plan like the true teacher she is at heart. She carried the same purse for years and years. I loved the simplicity she had. Her Channel skincare...Her love of her family and God was number one. I plan on visiting Edisto Beach one day and I know I will find her spirit there. Her happy place. We love you Allison Bare. Forever you will be in my heart. I am so glad God brought you into my life. Infinity girl xo Save me a place up there... I can´t wait to see you again and talk about life and how lucky we are xoxo

I meet Allison when I start work with her Dad . Allison was devoted to her family especially her dad care .I remember me her setting taking about her mom and dad. I told her that was very proud and humbled that they made sure that their dad and mom was took care of know matter how much it costs. It just amazed me because most children wouldn't do that. They even made sure that the caregiver where taking care of. I was truly blessed by this family. They will always have a special place in my heart .I am sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
