This is a really brilliant three disc set for hard-core Babes in Toyland fans. Each disc is packed with brilliant live performances of songs from every Babes album (with a few rarities on the end of each disc). And, considering that the majority of the material here is live, the sound quality is top notch.
The studio tracks included here - which I don't believe you can find anywhere else - are: "Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble," "Fair Is Foul And Foul Is Fair," "Big Top," "Intermenstral," "Peek-A-Boo Street," and "Astroantiquity." Plus some really awesome covers: "The Girl Can't Help It," "More, More, More," and "Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft." If you're looking for an excuse to buy this collection, those covers should be it!
There is also a live version on "Ya Know That Guy," which was only (to my knowledge) ever released as a demo - and a rare one at that. The interludes are really amusing as well. On the same track, the drummer can be heard saying "Shut up Courtney!" to a young and rowdy Miss Love in the audience; whilst in the middle of the track, a guy can be heard turning to his mate and saying: "I used to go to high-school with her." So these are really early little gems :)
The pamphlet is cool too, with some great photographs of the band and an informative biography - which goes part-way to explaining overlaps with some of Hole's and Babes In Toyland's lyrics.
The only reason I am not giving this item five stars is because the video footage featured on the second disc is absolutely appalling. It's about the size of a stamp (a small one!)and has about 10 pixels in it, with very distorted sound. It's so bad, I honesty don't understand why it was included here.
This collection is by no means essential, but really nice to own all the same.
