The restaurant at this hotel is fantastic. We were just walk in as we were in the area and heard about the excellent service of this place. We thought there wouldn't be any space. However, to our delight, there were. The staff was extremely friendly at the reception desk and the welcoming host at the restaurant desk. The food was absolutely delicious. We a beef burger and a chicken burger. They surprised me with the quality of the food and the service that goes with it. I will definitely go back there again. Well done.

We stayed here for a week on our trip to Cape Town. Great location to get around the city and go for walks. Staff are friendly and helpful.Hotel restaurant is good and breakfast has a good selection. It gets busy on a weekend so make sure you have plenty of time if going out early or catching a flight.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in! The inclusion of the handy phone meant that I didn't have to use my phone or waste international data - I could call local friends and search the area without worry. The food was amazing to the point that I had to force myself to eat out - it was just so easy and delicious to stay in! All staff were welcoming and accommodating, even saving me my favourite seat every breakfast. I highly recommend staying here, it is closely located to Queen's Beach, only 15 minutes from the V&A waterfront and right on top of the hop on hop off bus tour stops.

I have been here for tow weeks and have another 3 weeks left but so far I have had a great stay. All the staff are very friendly and will do anything for you! The taxi drivers are great and give you probably more information about the culture and history than the bus tour. The food here is very good and compared to a lot of other places fairly quick. The apartments are spacious and beds are comfortable. Felt the need to leave a review before the end of my stay as this morning I had terrible toothache and turns out I have an infection under one of my teeth but I asked the staff at reception if they could get me a dentist appointment which they did, they rang for me and managed to get me in and seen straightaway which they did not have to at all. That along with…

Our room had a great view of the "Lions Head", and was clean and comfortable. However the hotel is large, so breakfasts are busy and disorganised. The staff seem to take an age to deliver tea/coffee. We stayed here as part of a package on a tour of South Africa on a half board basis. The hotel is a taxi ride away from the waterfront and the best restaurants. I would say this is a hotel designed for business guests as there are better located hotels for sight seeing and tourists. After a long day sight seeing, we did not feel like taking a taxi out to eat, so ate in the Hotel. The evening meal was a buffet, and left a lot to be desired. The selection was much the same each night. The cold salad starters had clearly been out for a long time, and were not kept chilled. The…

Dear Charlie_Chimp Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us on your recent trip. We are pleased that overall you had a pleasant stay and trip to South Africa. We certainly do enjoy hosting your groups on a regular basis. Your comments have been noted and we will certainly address them to improve where possible. Our buffet offering is provided in shaving dishes and when left open will lose some heat when large numbers of guests dish up at the same time. For future we will look at increasing burners to increase temperature. We are a rather large hotel and do host a large variety of guests and are investing into key teams to increase the personal touch for our guests. We do not wish for any guest to feel unappreciated. We look forward to having you back on your next annual trip. Kind Regards, Reinard Korf Operations Manager

My fiancé booked us into this hotel for my 30th but we found there was nothing presidential about the president hotel. We booked a sea view room, only to find it faced the hotel building. We complained and it was clear that staff were used to this complaint about this room. They were very unapologetic and organized us another room and asked us to wait in our initial room until house cleaning was done with the room. 3 hours we waited! And no contact. Only at this point did we lose our patience and complain to the helpful manager who apologized and upgraded us immediately. But the overall attitude bar the manager spoilt this trip, the hallway carpets are filthy, the design of the hotel looks 30 years out of date. Only good thing was the buffet breakfast, which was good I…

Dear Adam Thank you for sharing your recent feedback with us. We regret to learn that you did not enjoy your 30th with us. It is always our intention to ensure that all special events are celebrated and remain memorable. It is shared during booking process that we offer celebration packages at a cost and not offered on a complimentary basis. We do regret that you felt our manager did not manage the process correctly and for the delay in communication. We certainly focus on ensuring our guests concerns are addressed immediately. Please do understand that when our duty manager decided to offer the complemantary room it had to be vacated by the previous guest and needed some preparation time. I am pleased that you enjoyed the remainder for our trip and look forward to welcoming you back soon again. Kind Regards, Reinard Korf Operations Manager

We spent one night in a sea facing apartment and we had the best experience ever. From entering the security gate you are greeted and directed exactly where you need to go. Staff were extremely professional, friendly and accommodating. Food was wonderful, from the buffet dinner to a stunning buffet breakfast. We ended up never leaving the hotel although we had quite a few places we were hoping to see, as the hotel lends itself to spending all your time there. The apartment was very spacious with private bathroom and the weekend way too quickly!!!

The hotel has plugs for European plugs, but only one in the room. Other plugs are specific for SA. I recommend to get cheap ones from Amazon. Not sure if the hotel has plugs for guests to borrow.
as long as you pay with a credit card you will be covered, but maybe not through an email, go direct to the website to pay, never click a link in an email if you are even slightly unsure.
