The Curse of the Pharaohs
This page includes the walkthrough for the main quest in Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs.
Location: Thebes
Suggested Level: 48
Reward: 30000 XP
When you reach Thebes, a Pharaoh's Shadow will rise. You can choose to fight it or head straight to Luxor to speak with Merti. There are more opportunities to fight Pharaoh's Shadows again later. After speaking with Merti, meet up with the priestess at the Temple of Karnak. The quest Aten Rising will begin.
Complete the following quests before continuing this walkthrough:
Travel to the Temple of Karnak and speak with Isadora. A cutscene will play out and some soldiers will show up to interrogate her. You can assassinate them if you’d like. Head to your next objective which is Tychon’s Villa. Head southeast and when you’re close enough, use Senu to locate the villa. Continue south until you reach the building. There will be soldiers guarding the area so prepare to fight.
Begin the investigation in Tychon’s office. There are 5 items to inspect. Start with the 2 scrolls on his desk and then interact with door on the left. Step back outside and pull the shelf that’s blocking the doorway next to his office. Examine the box full of treasures to the left of the doorway and then the chest on the right.
- Complete Blood in the Water
Return to Thebes and The Temple of Karnak. You have to assassinate Isidora. Climb the wall near the objective and use one of the small windows to sneak in. She has some high level soldiers protecting her and she’ll run if you don’t finish her off quickly. Drop down, sneak up behind her, and take her down as quickly as possible.
Head east in the temple towards her quarters. It’s guarded. You can take them down or walk around and climb through one of the openings in the walls surrounding the area. Head down the stairs to the objective and you’ll find that the door is locked. Look all the way up and to the right of the door. There’s an opening you can climb through to reach Isidora’s quarters.
Investigate the room. There’s a scroll on the table near one of the pillars in the center of the room. Scrolls on a table all the way in the back of the room to the left. A strung up tapestry in the back of the room to the right. A crumbling wall on the east side of the room. The relic on the altar. And lastly, the slab of stone leaning on a pillar in the back end of the room to the west.
After finishing the investigation, leave the room, and exit the Temple of Karnak. Head southwest, hopping on the boat outside of the temple and sail southwest until you reach land. Call you mount and continue following the objective to the tomb.
Before entering, go through your equipment and make any desired changes to it because you’re about to jump into a battle with King Tutankhamun. Climb down the stairs, turn right, and slip through the space between the treasures. A cutscene will play out and immediately after, a battle with Tut will commence.
Defeating Tutankhamun will earn you a legendary level 53 spear. You must now leave Duat by following the orb of light. There are many dangerous enemies in the Duat so be careful while going through it. You can call a mount here which is helpful. The light will lead you to the Am-Tuat. There are 3 powerful enemies here. Feel free to fight them or run past them to escape. Once you exit the afterlife the main quest of The Curse of the Pharaohs will complete.
