a very nice zoo but to those that claim it's the best in the country ... you need to travel more. no way is it as good as st louis or both the San Diego Zoos ect. Im not sure its even the best in Ohio any more ... the Columbus and Toledo zoos have been stepping it up.
really miss the polar bear. They are getting some bears next year but I thing for the last few years no bears at all and the orangutang doesn't have a buddy so they stick some other breed of primate in there. I never see them at all interacting so it's not like they are friends. Its sad. The orangutang looks bored and sad .... hurts my heart. get him a companion.

I am a member of the zoo because it's close but I think it's been going downhill. the tulips are lovely and they do a nice job with holiday lights ... but still prefer Columbus for that too.
this year they don't have any zoo baby that I care about .... and the hippo def isn't a baby anymore.
Just went to st louis zoo it's as good or better and free.

Beautiful stadium. Definitely worth the game. You can bring outside food. Great for a family outing for inexpensive day.

We mostly went just to see the exterior and lobby of building, both of which are so beautiful. Once in lobby we decided to go to Pompeii exhibit which we also enjoyed. But you can come see the wonderful building and lobby for free.

Beautiful museum that sits atop scenic Eden Park overlooking the city. Interesting collection of art. As should be expected, this is not the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC or the Chicago Art Institute, but the museum still an impressive collection especially for a medium sized city. The free entry is also of note and appreciated. 2 hours should be adequate to enjoy a visit to the museum.

We totally enjoyed this museum. It took us back in time. There were a lot of local signs that were interesting, but definitely for locals. We learned about the history/evolution of light sources gor signs too. It was a good experience!

Learned some thing we didn't know and we really liked how they linked modern day human trafficking to historical slavery.

large old cemetery and botanical garden. Great place for winter walk on beautiful day. Lots of mature trees and plants and a few lakes. I didn't stay long but enjoyed walking around and saw a few birds. The swans were so graceful and lovely to watch. the stone bridges would be good for pictures.

This is apparently a fairly recent project, since we didn’t see it when we visited the city about fifteen years ago. There is a splendid view of and across the broad and placid Ohio river that goes on for quite a ways since the park is fairly long. There are numerous ornamental plants, large swing/benches facing the river, play equipment for children, bathrooms, picnic tables. The park is very clean and quite well-tended. We paid seven dollars for an hour and a half of parking across the street, but as others have mentioned there is free parking nearby if you have time to look for it (we didn’t).

Wonderful experience to visit this conservatory. It is stuffed full of tropical plants and even has a huge fern room. I was able to tour the seasonal butterfly room. It was full of colorful butterflies. I use a small mobility scooter and was able to maneuver efficiently. The waterfall feature was very refreshing in the humid conservatory. Loved the variety of palms.

Findlay Market dates back to 1855 and is one of the oldest surviving public markets in the country. Inside you will find vendors selling meat/cheeses, bakery goods and local produce. On the streets surrounding the market, you will find many restaurants and shops. Eli's BBQ and the Arepa Place are two excellent examples. It is also pleasant to sit outside and have a beer and listen to live music at Jane's located on the Elm Steet side of the market. It is easy to get here as the light rail Connector from downtown stops in front.

I like walking across bridges, especially ones that lead from one state to another. So this one was fun even if it is a rather short walk (10 min if strolling?). The views of Covington and Cincinnati are lovely from each side.
This bridge doesnt indicate when you cross the state line like the Purple People Bridge, but it does have spots on the walk where you can use a QR code and hear some history about the bridge and its construction.

Scenic walk along the Ohio River near downtown Cincinnati. Views of the city skyline, steamboats on the river and of the historic John A Roebling Suspension Bridge. Built in 1866, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time. The architect Roebling also designed the Brooklyn Bridge which opened 20 years later. You can include a walk across the bridge to Covington, Kentucky where you can find some bars and restaurants to enjoy.
